I don't doubt God's existence or (impotence)omnipotence. But with global changes and threats of war, if all things were destroyed by nuclear / biochemical(hypothetically)...would that not make the bible falible...so I have to say to my son, (who asks me) "No, the world would not end, because if it DID that would make God either impotent or a liar and the bible in error." So, regardless if its CO2, sun spots, or farting cows...God will: "never again destroy every living thing, as I have done. While the earth remains" Gen. 8:21-22: Right? Can I say this to my son legitimately? Or do you have a better response to his query?

You and you son can take a concordance and look up the word God and in every verse where the word God is used, turn to that verse in the bible. You with your son read the verse and the verses surrounding that verse asking the question who is talking, who is He talking to, where is He, why does He say this, what will be the results, how does this occur. Ask these type questions of the text and ask if there are any lessons for your life. Also most important pray with your son first then look up a verse. Make it a goal to complete one verse a day.
