1 | Where did Cains wife come from | Gen 4:17 | Hank | 106918
"If there is a God, then he made me the way I am." ..... And if there isn't, who is responsible for your being the way you are? Not much possibility of being a "free thinker" either, if one is a puppet in the hands of the giant puppeteer in the sky. Curious, isn't it, how one can postulate that God made him the way he is and yet be a member of a mythical searching party out looking to find whether God exists? Some things like this are hard to get into my head, and harder still to digest once they get there. Call me dense. I guess I've been believing God's word too long to know any better than to keep on believing what He says about His existence. I don't speculate. Don't need to. I have God's word before me. God doesn't speculate. He knows. And one more thing. I don't care much about getting answers that suit me, as you, Free Thinker, say that you are looking for. What I look for is God's truth. It doesn't matter at all whether I stamp my approval on it. God really doesn't need me to approve of His eternal truth. --Hank

In the beginning God...(Gen 1:1). Hank: Thanks for another great post. It reminds me of the following quote: In the beginning God...(Gen 1:1). "The Bible begins with God, not with philosophic arguments for His existence" (p. 1, New Scofield Reference Bible, Oxford, 1967). Peace, kalos |
