1 | Re-phrasing creates more questions... | Gen 3:22 | Jody bug | 197864 | ||
I had thought of the saved from the perspective you've written, but I had never thought of the lost that way. Thank you. As concerns "layers" I read the thread you suggested (and most of the responses, but not all), and that was when I realized we're talking about different views of layers. I did appreciate the thread though, I have tons to learn in truly studying the Bible. When I think of layers, I think of layers of understanding or thought, not layers of meaning. To me, we should not add or take away from the Bibles meaning, but strive to understand it. My experiences and growth of thought allow me a deeper layer of understanding. I don't believe the scripture says any less or more, but to me because of the day, the mood I'm in, or what I've read before it, or a discussion I had with someone else, a new truth is revealed to me. It's why every time I read the same scripture (Genesis in this case), I have more questions, or more understanding. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question. Blessings, Johanne |

Hi, Johanne... When you define your terms in that fashion, then you are back on safer ground. Perhaps if you used the word "insights" it would avoid the possibility of confusion with the doctrines of the false teachers. There's much for us to understand, and there are many insights yet for us to glean. In Him, Doc |
