God's day to you, HollieRose, God told Adam "but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die" (Gen 2:17). It applied to Eve too, since she knew the rule (3:3). So people also ask if Adam refused to listen to his wife, what would have happened? We don't know ... but I wonder WHEN someone would have listened to Satan, what would be the results (cf Rev 20:7). To answer your question - there would have been no toil, since that was part of the result of sin. But God already knew that there would be sin. Searcher |
