1 | Why didn't God create us without sin? | Gen 3:15 | bjlamberth | 146380
Since God is omnipotent and omniscent, why did He allow sin to take over all mankind? Why didn't He make us sinless? He could have created us without the abilility to sin, so why didn't He? And why did He not prevent His angels from taking over(Satan and his angels who fell from grace)? These questions have been asked by my 23 yr. old daughter. She feels that God is just using us as playing pieces in a chess game. I told her that God gave man the will to choose for himself and he chose to sin. God's gift of redemption by giving us His only begotten Son shows His awesome love for us in spite of our freewill to choose to sin. Can you better help me answer her question re: this?
2 | Why didn't God create us without sin? | Gen 3:15 | srbaegon | 146383
Hello bjlamberth, Part of God creating beings which can interact with him is the ability to make a reasoned choice. Consider this--if Adam and Satan had the ability to choose sin, then they had the ability to refuse sin. God did not force that decision upon them. Be careful in discussing free will. The last humans with truly free wills were Adam and Eve. After that, everybody is enslaved to sin. Steve |
