1 | Are there any "people" created by Satan? | Gen 2:7 | slide_m46 | 76035
I must say that I have no idea what you're talking about Goodlife. I asked the question because of some scripture in which our Lord Jesus says that some are "of their Father the Devil." In actuality I am wrestling with the issue of the predestination of the elect, and how that might "square" with the idea that maybe those not elected for salvation possibly aren't elected because they have a different "father", ie. satan. I wanted to know if there might be any scriptural support for that concept. No matter, there is no denying that Jesus is my savior and I only wish that all could be so moved by the Spirit as to accept Christ and participate in His saving grace. God bless you.
2 | Are there any "people" created by Satan? | Gen 2:7 | Emmaus | 76080
slide m46, Jesus was referring to spiritual children of Satan, when he spoke to the Paharisees of their "father" Satan. Jesus makes this point in John 8:39-45. They claimed to be children of Abraham physically and spirituall as weel as sons of God spiritually. Jesus was making the point that it is spiritual sonship by obedient faith, like Abraham's, that is important. See Romans 8:14-16 for the flip side: "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God ..." See also Galatians 4:6. There are other verses which also support this understanding spiritual offspring. Emmaus |
