1 | Do you believe that God was a man | Gen 1:27 | Reformer Joe | 35952
God the Father has never been a man. "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." --John 4:24 "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" --Numbers 23:19 You wrote: "1. We know that Angel to not need to eat or rest." And how do we KNOW that? Secondly, having no need of food or rest does not mean that they are unable to engage in such activities. After all, God doesn't NEED rest, and yet He did on the seventh day. We also see in Genesis 19:2 that these very same angels do indeed go over to Lot's place to spend the night. You wrote: "2. Or Have feet." The Bible says: "Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his FEET, and with two he flew." --Isaiah 6:2 Sorry, but you are mistaken in just about everything you posted here. --Joe! |

Hello Leftwich, You have listened to a deceiving spirit. The three that came to Abraham were God Himself in human form (18:1,13-33) and two angels (18:16,22; 19:1). Steve |

8 | Can we Prophesy? | Gen 1:27 | Leftwich | 36512
Thank you, Answer This is what Study Bible Forum is. Yes, I know thta God was in human form: God transform himself into human form, which is a man. So Abraham can see him. And the three men that stood by him were transform to human. How do we know that God only sent two men to Sodom? Ant the other men went with God. The total of men is 5 if you count Abraham. My point is how many men was it. We can not change what is in he Bible. Do you call God a deceiving spirit. That is not very Good. God is a Jeailousy God. Love Leftwich |

9 | Can we Prophesy? | Gen 1:27 | srbaegon | 36514
Hello Leftwich, God is not a deceiver. You said: "I ask God,to show me were did the three men come from. I heard God speaking to me,I rise them from the dead. Vision of the book EZEKIEL can in my mine." I am saying this is not true. These were not men risen from the dead. They were angels. Gen 18:1 tells us that God appeared to Abraham. Gen 18:2-33 tells us how God appeared to Abraham, how many were with Him, and what He said. Gen 19:1 identifies the two "men" who were with God as angels. Steve |

10 | Can we Prophesy? | Gen 1:27 | Leftwich | 36629
Hello, Steve How do we know what two angels came to Sodom. Sometime we read what we want to read. We assume that what happen. Genesis 19 v 1 1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even: and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them: and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground: 2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay: but we will abide in the street all night. Love Leftwich |

11 | Can we Prophesy? | Gen 1:27 | srbaegon | 36649
Hello Leftwich, The natural flow of the story indicates the two men that left were the angels that went into Sodom. The King James version makes this a little more difficult, but when you read chapters 18 and 19 together, it all fits. Steve |
