Greetings BATS, True, the word 'trinity' is not found in the New Testament. However, the Biblical doctrine of the Trinity can be found throughout the New Testament, specifically: Matt. 3:16, Matt. 28:19, Luke 3:22, John 1:1-5; John 3:34-35, John 14:16-17, John 14:26, John 15:26, John 16:7, John 16:13-15, Acts 1:2, 1:4-5, Acts 2:33, Acts 10:36-38, Acts 17:22-31, Romans 1:3-4, 8:9-11, 8:26-27, 1 Cor. 12:3-6, 2 Cor. 1:21-22, 2 Cor. 5:5, 2 Cor. 13:14, Galatians 4:4,6, Philippians 2:5-11, Colossians 1:13-22, Colossians 2:2,3,9,10, 2 Thess. 2:13-14, 2 Thess. 2:16, 1 Tim. 3:16, Titus 3:4-6, Hebrews 9:14, 1 Peter 1:2, 1 Peter 3:18, 1 John 1:1 - 2:2; 1 John 5:6-7 After reading all of those verses, you can plainly see what the Bible says regarding the 'mystery' of the Father, Spirit and the Son, the Three in One. Blessings to you, Makarios |
