1 | Love God, His word, any difference? | Ps 95:10 | Ray | 153331 | ||
Hi Lionstrong, You play the "game" more than you think, perhaps. You have in this thread spoken of the word, the Holy Bible in order to diferentiate between the word and the Word. The people who have responded to your thread have been talking of the "word of God", thus showing that they understand the difference between the word and the Word as well. 1) In the paragraph of yours that I quoted, you made sure to capitalize "Son", using your shift key and playing the game. I think you found it important to point out the knowledge of the Son as well as the word, the Scriptures. I believe that this knowledge of the Son is important to you and us, (This One who is not the son of God, but the Son of God, not a son of man but the Son of Man, not a god but God Himself). 2) In a post of yours on a thread about receiving the Holy Spirit, you found it important to stress that the Holy Spirit was a person [sic] and not a thing. You were looking at Titus 3:6 and Ephesians 1:14 and saying that the Holy Spirit was a "who" rather than a "which". That is playing the lower-case-upper case game; and we all should be players in it. From the heart, Ray |

Hello Ray, I read your posts and learn from your wisdom. However, on this one I'm not following. I felt like Lionstrong's question was, well less than insightful, but, I didn't get that he was being deceptive. Might you be being just a bit tangential on this one. Or perhaps I'm too sleepy to follow and should have stayed out of it. If that's the case I apologize. Anyway, Lionstrong. If you read this I just want to say, as I tried to point out in my earlier post. If you are a believer in Christ and have been a serious student of His word for very long, then you know the answer to your own question, so, why ask it? On the otherhand, if you lack insight and wisdom in a certain area, ask a question plainly without offering an answer in the same post. Wait for others to help by giving their best answers which will help to either confirm that you were on track or redirect your thinking. Sincerely, Jeff |

Thanks, Jeff, You're right. I did already have an answer to my question, and I did not post it because I was looking for an answer. I was looking for discussion and the thoughts of others on this question. |
