1 | Is the KJV "Supreme"? | Ps 12:6 | Makarios | 11785
Hello all, I happened upon a website http://www.biblestudy.org/basicart/kjverror.html that states that a Christian should use the KJV as their 'primary' Bible and use other translations as a good follow up to the KJV. What do you make of this? |

2 | Is the KJV "Supreme"? | Ps 12:6 | Searcher56 | 11951
I say no. Very few could read the original KJV, or even understand it. I doubt anyone speaks English of the 1600's. I visited a KJV only church - the preacher talked in very modern English. There is no Bible that is perfectly translated, because culture is added. My pet peeve is the word worship. Also, there have been additional manuscripts found since the original release ... the KJV has had many updates ... and it was not the first Bible in the English language. No matter what version, always have a condordance and lexicon for your study. Steve |
