1 | John-author of Gospel and Revelation? | Revelation | prayon | 26420
Welcome to the forum Grandpamike! I agree with the others that it is the same John who wrote the other books that wrote Revelation. There are some specific parallels that help to show this. One is that only in the gospel of John and the book of Revelation is Jesus Christ referred to as the Word, or the Lamb. Both also describe Jesus as a witness. In Rev 1:9 John states that he was sent to the island of Patmos after he preached God's message and told about Jesus. prayon
