1 | Will the Lord let us "catch" Him? | 2 Chr 15:15 | Carlton | 27135 | ||
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:12,13, NIV). There is no doubt that we can find God, provided we are sincere and with all our heart search dor him. Twenty years ago, after a period of bible studies I was preparing to be baptised. I wanted to be certain that I was doing the right thing and at 2:30 am I prayed that if I was doing the right thing I wanted God to walk me up at 7:45 in time for work. The next morning my dad called me at a quarter to eight. I woke up looked at the clock and was confused because my dad went to work at 7:10 am. and there was noone in my bedroom. Who called me? I remembered my prayer and I am certain that God answered my silent inaudible prayer. All his promises are sure! |

Scripture ... Deu 4:29 - context vv 25-31 ... Matt 13:45; Luke 13:24; Acts 15:17, 17:27; Rom 3:11, 10:20; Phil 2:21; Col 3:1; Heb 11:6 We do need to seek Him with our heart (1 Sam 7:3, 1 Kin 8:48) and soul (Deu 6:5, 30:1-3). I think this applies to Israel. Believers need to seek Him, too (Phil 2:21, Col 3:1). Unbelievers also can seek Him (Matt 13:45; Luke 13:24; Acts 15:17, 17:27; Heb 11:6) ... but He does show Himeself to those who don't (Rom 3:11, 10:20). Just some thoughts, Searcher |
