1 | When should a person leave a church? | Ephesians | ThomasTheNonDoubter | 26437
If the pastor is involved in unrepentant sin, like the many homosexual pastors. Is his preaching glorifying God or himself,ie talking ten dollar words to impress the millionairs in the audiance. Caution: Many so called pastors aren't even saved. I've run into a few that viewed it only as a job, not a calling. I just left a church were the pastor HAD to control everything in the church and demanded everybody to have nothing to do with that Holy Spirit stuff, even to the point of telling a Holy Spirit filled person what he could and couldn't do in his own house. You need to read, meditate, and pray on the Bible every day to learn to hear His voice, and if you feel that the Holy Spirit isn't allowed to have things His way in the church, totally, like a group of old folks who tell the pastor what he had better be preaching on or else. I wouldn't stay. The Rapture is too close to be playing games with self worshipping, volunteering for the stupid place, pastors and the puppetmasters that yank their strings. We're in a WAR, DUH!!!! You don't play games in a war. |

If God did, then I hope you've learned to hear His voice so that you know when it's God and not Satan. But I seriously doubt that God would lead any Christian to the church examples I described earlier. You asked when it would be a good time to leave. God led me to that control freaks church for a season, but when I saw in the scripture that his control freak attitude and hate for the Holy Spirit was equivilent to witchcraft, I was outa there. The Bible clearly states Walk not in the council of the ungodly. If your comm. line is what it should be, you'll know. If you have a question mark in your mind, work on the comm. line. If you read the Bible enough, you'll realize EVERYTHING you encounter in life has some guidence for how to handle it somewhere in the Bible. Ya gotta seek, then you'll find.
