1 | Are Christians commanded to eat meat? | 1 Corinthians | charis | 1307
Dear shorty, No, we are not commanded to eat meat. No, you can choose either way, but meat is a healthy food, and helps balance your diet. No, I believe that the Lord Jesus was blameless before His countrymen. A comment: What is a humane way to kill an animal for food? This is truly in the realm of emotions. Or, perhaps there is a Bible reference to animal 'feelings' or animal 'rights?' These emotions are humanist in origin, and care must be given when assigning our hearts to a non-spiritual issue. Blessings in Christ Jesus.
2 | Did Jesus eat unclean foods? | 1 Corinthians | shorty | 3247
I guess I meant humane treatment of animals raised for food rather than the actual killing process (not to mention the hormones and antibiotics now used in the raising of such animals which raises the question of safety in our consumption of them.) I know Jesus ate fish and he ate lamb (?) at the Passover, but did he eat unclean meat? He declared all food clean in Mark, but why does it never say that he partook of foods now considered clean?
3 | Did Jesus eat unclean foods? | 1 Corinthians | prayon | 3256
To my knowledge no he did not eat "unclean" foods. Jesus was a Jew and therefore followed the Jewish laws set down by God in the Old Testament. If He would of not followed the Jewish customs and laws he would not of been able to have the impact that He had. I am not sure in where you are referring to in Mark. If you are referring to the dream in which Paul had that was after Jesus assecended in to heaven. Hope I helped. God Bless. |

4 | Did Jesus eat unclean foods? | 1 Corinthians | shorty | 3536
I was referring to Mark 7:19 "For it doesn't go into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body." (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods "clean.")
