The Satanic doctrine of "Once Saved, Always Saved" seems to have originated mainly with Fundamentalist Christians. The perfect example of how this doctrine is false is Judas Iscariot. He believed in Jesus Christ, walked with Him, was one of the Twelve and was given the same powers from Him as the others. Yet what Christian believes that Judas Iscariot went to Heaven? According to this doctrine, I would say Fundamentalist Christians would have to believe Judas is in Heaven as he more than met the requirements of salvation according to this false doctrine. Another good example is Lucifer (Satan) - abided in Heaven, knew God Himself, lived with God Himself yet he was not "saved" when given the opportunity for he now resides in Hell as punishment for the sin of pride. This sin occurred AFTER having known and accepted God. In my opinion, this doctrine helps Satan greatly by instilling a false sense of security and self-confidence among Christians concerning their salvation. They think they can't sin anymore and even if they do, no punishment will be due them as Christ paid for all our sins. This makes it easier for Satan to tempt us to sin. How can we be assured of our own salvation if Paul wasn't (1 Corinthians 9:27)? Salvation is not a "one time" event, but an ongoing process until "the end" (Matthew 10:22; 24:13; Mark 13:13). |

junmeskie. I had no intention of ever again posting to this forum. You have changed my mind. For as long as there are ISPs... Even I wouldn't go so far as to call it a "stanic doctrine." More like a "dangerous" doctrine. One of "blissful ignorance," and in this particular thread; one of downright refusal to accept the truth contained in the Word that they profess, to the point of down right stupidity. Perhaps they are saved! Praise the Lord! Perhaps they will overcome and make it through the gates, but they do not know what it is that they are telling others who may not have the same amount of grace bestowed apon them... Grace. Now that is a topic that it would appear not many herein truly understand. If so, there is very little portrayal of an understanding thereof. Thank you; for though they profess knowledge, they lack much. Don't let those as such confuse you, That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and [their] sins should be forgiven them. "instilling a false sense of security and self-confidence among Christians concerning their salvation" BINGO!!!! It seems that the majority of the self professed biblically learned herein do not even have enough faith in their own words to put more than a "screen name" to them. Exhorter In Christ George |

George, Since I am one of, if not the blissfully ignorant to the point of downright stupidity... who is the respondent to junmeskie... I think I will respond. I will blissfully die in the foolishness that God chose to confound the wise. Begging to differ with you in that, I have not tried to push any belief or agenda on this forum. I will readily admit that I posted information that was erroneous to what "I" believe to be truth (albeit not in this thread). I am not infallible, but I do maintain my belief. I share it here, with others as I understand it and I listen to their views as they understand. Now I do not profess to be a Bible Scholar, I am just your average, run of the mill, deeply in Love with the Lord and those who choose to proclaim His Gospel, Christian. I have a great love for those who have not heard it. But would you not agree that we are not here to teach, but to encourage study of the Word and whatever we glean from this forum, would it not then become the responsibility of the readers to go back through the scriptures and test and study for themselves? As you stated, "Perhaps I am saved" LOL but of this I am sure His Grace (Mercy) is sufficient for me. Your zeal intrigues me, maybe if you add some Christ Love to it and it may not sound like a lot of clanging symbols. You are making so much noise, it's hard to hear you. (No insult intended) But you come off a little bitter ... and after all of that great apology and quest for forgiveness. Are you angry about something? If I have offended you charge it to my head and not my heart, truly it was unintentional. I ain't mad at ya :) ... and By the way my name is K. Huck. I don't know what difference that makes. LOL Let the measure of love we choose to give one to another be the Love of God. -khuck |

Dear soul, I am not bitter or angry, just adamant when it comes to truth where the Word is concerned. If I come off as "bitter," it is not my intention. If I seem to be defensive, it is only because of the attacks suffered due to my stance on this topic. I too am only human and do make mistakes. My appologies were to the individual and to those who took my note as an accack on that individual. I make no appologies for the general content thereof, only for my mistaken interpritation of the note it was attached to, for there are those herein to whom it is adequately suited. George |
