Bible Question: Are you onced saved always saved? |
Bible Answer: Absolutely. 1 John 5:10 - 15: The one who belives in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not belive God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testmony that God has given concerning His Son. And the testimony is this, that God HAS given us eternal life, an this life is in His Son. He who has the Son HAS the life; he who does not have the Son does not have the life. These things I have written to you that you may KNOW that you have eternal life. This is the CONFIDENCE which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. Salvation is completely a work of God. God established it, provided for it, perfomed it, completes it, and hold it secure. Salvation is an eternal promise. Man does nothing to work or earn his way to salvation. Since salvation is of God, from God, and To God, man can do nothing to "work" his way out of it. Don't mistake that this then is a license to sin and live any way we want. With this incredible freedom and security comes incredible responsiblity to live a holy life before God and man. God said, 'Be Holy as I am Holy". Rest in God knowing you are set securely in His hand. Blessings, AustinBeliever. |
