1 | Are you onced saved always saved? | John | Hank | 102432
George -- When my son and daughter were quite young, my wife and I gave to each of them a gleaming new bicycle at Christmastime. Our instructions included the specific boundaries within our neighborhood where they were permitted to ride their bikes. One day we discovered that they had disobyed us and ridden far outside those boundaries. We punished them by grounding them for a time, which included the temporary revocation of their privilege to ride their bikes. But we did not take back our gift of those bikes and we never disowned them as our son and daughter. They were born into our family and a son and a daughter they will ever be. In like manner, the prodigal son of Scripture was as much a son of his father during his time of riotous living as he was before he left home -- and after he came to himself and returned to his father. The essential relationship of sonship never changed, only the personal intimacy (fellowship) with his father changed. The God I worship is not a capricous daddy who would take away my bicycle because I happened to slip up and get out of bounds once in a while. He would chastise me to be sure, but He would never take my bicyle from me. Not ever. Would yours? --Hank

I can not believe Hank, that you should make such a post in response to the thread to which it is attached!!! Are you responding to My post? I think not! For, if so then your computer screen is not showing words that came from my keyboard. I intend absolutely no malice Hank, but you might consider re-reading my posts, for your post, though vaguely near, is absurdly beneath the realms of thought portrayed therein. In Christ George |

Well, well, well, woe is me! Do pardon me, Sir George, for not having the mental equipment to be able to soar to the celestial heights of your lofty thoughts. I think I'll go eat worms. --Hank

Hank: Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I, too, have been weighed in the balances and found wanting, in the opinion of George. Haven't you heard? I am "with limited or no discernment and, or void of understanding." Woe is us. I guess if anyone disagrees with him it is because that person is mentally deficient or an ignorant fool. --Radioman2 |

Radioman - Goodness gracious, how ignorant I be. I've knowed you going on 3 year and didn't even know you was afflicted with that there 'limited discernment' thing or that other fancy condition called 'void of understanding.' They must be something you can take fer these ailments. Likely you caught them from somebody on this here forum who don't even know he's got 'em. Course I ain't no better off than you. I got a bad case of them mental deficiencies. They don't give me no pain and the only time I notice having them is when I try to think, which ain't often. Hope you git to feeling a heap better, bro. You might check with Wal-Mart. They may sell discernments. They carry about everything, you know. --Hank
