1 | The end part of Jonah? | Jonah | eascusa | 217735
I don't understand the entire book of Jonah especially the last part. Why did Jonah want to die? Then God asked Jonah if he has the right to be angry? Then the Lord provided a vine to shelter him but then took it away? Then God asked Jonah again if he has the right to be angry about the vine? The the Lord goes on telling Jonah that Nineveh has 120,000 people that cannot tell their right hand from their left. Should I not be concerned about them? Why does he say that?

Dear eascusa, I like reading the book of Jonah. However, since it is getting late at where I live, I can only give you a very short answer. It is about God's mercy and saving grace vs man's self-righteousness (we tend to judge and decide who deserves to be saved). Of course, the story has very rich message. You may go to the below link for more information or commentary: monergism.com Type "Jonah" in the search box to assess to articles or MP3 according to your need. Shalom Azure |
