I recently had this same discussion with a family member who said that it WAS in the Bible but didn't know where it was at, I ask The InTouch Ministries and they said that to the best of their ability it wasn't in the Bible but was taken out of proverbs. | ||||||

Proverbs 13 24 He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him. traditionally, we've said spoil the child but, i believe that to not correct destructive behavior in your child enables that child to grow up to become a menace to self and society. therefore, if you truly love your child you will excercise discipline whenever the occasion presents itself.
