1 | God's Promise to David | 1 Kin 2:4 | freddie36 | 189355 | ||

Scripture ... 2Sa 7:16; 1Ki 2:4, 6:11-12, 8:25-26, 9:4-9; 1Ch 22:8-13; 28:1-10; Jer 22:30, 23:5-6; Luk 1:32-33, 3:23-34... God's day to you, Freddie36 The reason there is a difference is that Solomon was one of the sons of David. Solomon was given a condition. In Jeremiah 22:30, we see his line will stop ruling in Judah forever. They broke the condition. Later Jeremiah promised the coming of a son of David that will reign (23:5-6). This is via Nathan, another son of David (Luk 1:32-33, 3:23-34). The promise made to David continues. Searcher |
