1 | Comforting verse for non-believers | Psalm | InGodITrust | 189112 | ||
Azure, So sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. I truly understand your heart felt desire to comfort the family. At the moment, if the entire family are not Christians,"what can you say?" I lost my wife May 6th and most of her (Teena) family think they know God but do not. All I could do was tell them "why" I KNOW Teena is in heaven with God and lovingly say, "I know she wants you there as anyone can who has Jesus Christ in their heart." Frankly, I don't know what you could say. Surely you don't want to tell them to get saved as this would imply that your friend was not. Perhaps one of our forum regulars who have been in the position to deal with this will respond. I have been in the ministry but have never had to "find an answer" for your delema. God's speed, InGodITrust |

Hi Azure, I, too, am sorry to hear about your friend. And with InGodITrust, I really don't know how to help you. I was thinking maybe something in Psalms or in Job might be suitable. Just as an example: Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Job 14:15 Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: Something generic like that might could open up a chance to witness? Sorry couldn't help more Cheri |
