1 | If I commit suicide, can I go to heaven? | Job | qweenbeeof3 | 192480
Hi Larry, as others have said before there is concern for your safety in regard to this question. There have been plenty of times in my life when I was tired of the fight, weary of the battle - the circumstances of this life. What I always was reminded of however is that the Lord sustains us. The condition is temporary. I have prayed continuously to have the joy of the Lord regardless of my circumstances and He is Faithful! Look at Mt.11:28-30 and Mt.6:33 for some encouragement and remember Heb 13:5-6 and be strengthened in Him. God bless you.
2 | If I commit suicide, can I go to heaven? | Job | Larry55 | 192525
Thank you all. I have Bipolar Disorder and have not had a high for many months but the depression has been killing me, so to speak. If only it would. I was baptized with the Holy Spirit just two weeks ago. Since then, I have felt God's presence strong when I talk with Him. I allways cry when I am with Him. Am I allowed to talk with you guys or must I ask questions? Should I go to the forum? I do not have three dimensional friends now. I am just beginning a divorce after thirty years and deathly afraid of being alone, so I inappropriately disclose on the internet. I'm sorry for that. I just trust everyone, especially God's children like you guys. I have tried to kill myself about five times since my breakdown three years ago. I am afraid I will try again after being alone for six months. |

3 | If I commit suicide, can I go to heaven? | Job | humbledbyhisgrace | 192534
Greetings Larry! Welcome to the Study Bible Forum! Like others, I too am very concerned about you. Let me say up front it would be much better for you if you would find a counselor who is experienced with these things as well as biblical counseling. They are much better equipped to help you then we are on this forum. Talk with a local pastor and he should be able to help you find someone trustworthy to help you. There are many on this forum who can help you with seeking the Lord through His word. So this is a good place to come for that! As a matter of fact, before you make a decision on anything else, I would encourage you to seek the answers to a couple of very important matters first! One, are you really saved? Two, if you are saved, why did God not take you home once you were saved? If you would, tell us in your own words what it takes for someone to go to heaven. Let's make sure you understand what God's word says about this first okay? It's important that you understand what God says about this and not just take the words or opinion of man on this matter! 4 | If I commit suicide, can I go to heaven? | Job | Larry55 | 192549
What it takes for someone to go to Heaven. If I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, one with the Father, that He died for my sins, and if I confess this with my mouth, then I go to heaven. |

5 | If I commit suicide, can I go to heaven? | Job | qweenbeeof3 | 192550
Hi again Larry, It's good to read that you have been baptised and are confessing that The Christ is your savior. I am in agreement with the previous response that it is very important to reach out into your home church and find a resource to counsel you. You are not alone. Along with the Spirit, Christ and The Father you have the Body of Christ that is your church. Reach out. There are people whose gift (of the Sprirt) is to counsel and come alongside believers to offer encouragement and support in times of emotional stress. Understand that you are in a very dangerous situation right now. Most people have an incredibly difficult time with divorce even without your medical condition. Do not allow yourself to be isolated. Reach out. You are not alone. It is vital that you have christian counsel. Please stay in touch. God bless and keep you. |
