Now that everyone has had a chance to really use and study the ESV Bible, what is your conclusion? Back in 2002 there were some long threads on it discussing it's quality,long term use and survival as an alternative to the NIV,NKJV, and NASB. What are your more recent thoughts? | ||||||

Hello newoldstock, I've stayed with ESV as my translation of choice though there are a few places that I think the translation is lacking. For example, Psalm 145:13 has a sentence inserted in brackets, but the manuscript evidence for it is weak. So why bother? Overall I'm impressed with it. Steve |

Steve, it is interesting to see that you have stayed with the ESV, as you were one of the main posters back in 2002 discussing it.I believe that you had a Navaho translater friend who did not like it. He preferred the Message, if I remember correctly. | ||||||
