1 | When Is pentecost | Leviticus | Elder | 118612
My question concerns the Day of Pentecost. According to Lev 23 ch Pentecost occurs 50 dys after Passover. But my question is when do you start counting after the "High Sabbath or holy convocation" or the 7th day sabbath. What does the morrow after the sabbath mean? What does it mean when it says seven sabbaths must be complete? Is it talking about 7 complete weeks or 7 sabbaths
2 | When Is pentecost | Leviticus | Jesusman | 118613
Hello, It's been a while since I've posted on here. So, I'll announce my return by answering your question. The Answer is given in Leviticus 23:15-16 In summary: The day of pentacost begins Seven sabbaths plus one day after Passover. So, the counting begins on the day after the last day of passover, ie: Sunday. The Last Day of passover is normally a Sabbath. When the counting begins, count for seven saturdays, and the day of Pentacost will start the very next day, ie: Sunday. I hope this helps. Jesus Loves you! Jesusman |

First Pentecost in Joshua 5:10-12? I did look at Joshua 5:10-12. How is it the first Pentecost? Where do you find any mention of Pentecost in these verses? Joshua 5:10-12 (ESV) While the people of Israel were encamped at Gilgal, they kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening on the plains of Jericho. [11] And the day after the Passover, on that very day, they ate of the produce of the land, unleavened cakes and parched grain. [12] And the manna ceased the day after they ate of the produce of the land. And there was no longer manna for the people of Israel, but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year. |

7 | So what do we do with Josh 5 Ch | Leviticus | following him | 123509
Perhaps he ment the first Passover. Of course that would be incorrect because the first passover has observed right before Israel left Egypt. Although this would be the first passover in the promised land.
