Bible Question: My question concerns the Day of Pentecost. According to Lev 23 ch Pentecost occurs 50 dys after Passover. But my question is when do you start counting after the "High Sabbath or holy convocation" or the 7th day sabbath. What does the morrow after the sabbath mean? What does it mean when it says seven sabbaths must be complete? Is it talking about 7 complete weeks or 7 sabbaths |
Bible Answer: Hello, It's been a while since I've posted on here. So, I'll announce my return by answering your question. The Answer is given in Leviticus 23:15-16 In summary: The day of pentacost begins Seven sabbaths plus one day after Passover. So, the counting begins on the day after the last day of passover, ie: Sunday. The Last Day of passover is normally a Sabbath. When the counting begins, count for seven saturdays, and the day of Pentacost will start the very next day, ie: Sunday. I hope this helps. Jesus Loves you! Jesusman |
