1 | Resurrection Day, not easter! | Exodus | humility | 215229
While I do agree that Easter has a pagan origin, I cannot agree that the resurrection day of our lord is a holy day, (according to Jesus). It's "man's" holy day, not God. Jesus calls one day of the week holy, and that's His Sabbath day, which is the seventh day of the week. Gen 2:2-3, Exodus 20:8-11, Matt 12:8, Mark 2:27-28, Luke 23:56. Sunday sacredness is a Roman Catholic's defyance of holy scriptures. The Romans worshiped many gods, therefore, all the days of the week, and the majority of what we call holidays (ie. Holy-days), were named by pagans, sunday was named after the sun god, monday was named after the moon god, wednesday was named after the planet venus, and saturday was named after saturn. If you do some research, you would find that the Catholics admits to changing God's fourth commandment during a time known as the dark ages. Many Christians are ignorant to these things that happened in early church history. I'll give you another truth, Christmas is a joining together of two words, Christ and Mass, and Halloween was named in "honor" of the day before the roman pagans "hallowed" or worshiped all their dead saints, it was first called "All Hallowed Eve". Christians who go to church on sunday don't really understand that they are breaking God's fourth commandment, but Jesus said if you break one, you break all. (James 2:10-12)
2 | Resurrection Day, not easter! | Exodus | Val | 215236
Dear Humility, stop slamming the Roman Catholics. This is not the place for that. There are many posts on the Sabbath if you would like to search and review them. Meanwhile the comment you made about James 2:10-12 is reinterating that we are all sinners in need of a Saviour. James 2:1 My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism James 1:25 But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does. James 2:8 If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF," you are doing well. James 2:12 So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty. Sincerely, Val |

I want to apologize for my comment. I do agree with you in some point Val. I agree that I did'nt have to go to the extreme that I went to yesterday, plz forgive me. But I do feel that Saturday, which is the seventh day of the week, is God's Holy Day. Why? Because it's biblically correct. To all my Catholic friends who may be apart of this forum, I sincerely apologize for the extent that I went to, but I must speak the truth in love.
