1 | Difference between Moses and BinLaden? | Genesis | Makarios | 162051
Greetings Rats Feet, Abraham did not specifically tell Isaac in Scripture that he would be the offering. However, I believe that I can safely assume that Isaac put two and two together when he was laying bound on the altar and his father was standing over him with a knife in his hand. The way that we know that something is truly from God is if the 'something' is in line with God's Holy word. In Acts 17:11, the Bible speaks of the Bereans searching the Scriptures to see if everything that Paul and Silas said was the truth. I believe that this is how that we, as Christians, will know that something is truly from God. As for Osama Bin Laden, he killed and seeks to kill out of hatred. God wipes people out only due to the judgment that they well deserve. Osama Bin Laden is just a human being, and therefore, has absolutely no authority to kill anyone. God, on the other hand, does have the authority to pronounce judgment and execute that judgment upon anyone He so chooses. God only is the judge. Blessings to you, Makarios |

2 | Again- God sanctions holy murder? | Genesis | Rats Feet | 162151
Hi Makarios- I'm still a bit confused. If Osama Bin Laden had no authority to kill anyone, then did Moses in the massacre at Heshbon and Og, or Abraham at the altar with Isaac? What if Bin Laden was the hand of God? Okay, Isaac may have been a willing, or threatened participant, but what about the women and children in Heshbon and Og? Is the killing of children in line with God's Holy Word? |

Scripture ... Num 21:34-35, Due 20:10-18, Jos 7:17, Jer 43:10 ... God's day to you, Rats Feet, God gave direct orders to kill everything, including women and children, because of the influence (Due 20:10-18) ... He used Nebuchadnezzar, whom He called His servant (Jer 43:10) to destroy Jerusalem. Searcher |
