Who is God Talking to in verse 26? ----------------------------------- Genesis 1:25-26 (New International Version) 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. There is an ancient theological idea about the power of the word of God. It is rather foreign to us today. The concept was that when God spoke, his word made it happen. One concept was that the writer was saying that God spoke and it happened. Many people now discuss the "Let us" statement as referring to the trinity. Some would say they in some manner discussed the creation. Reality is far more complex than we can understand, but all these ideas can be true. See Heb 4:12, John 1, Isa 55:11 | ||||||
