1 | Which sacrifices have ended? | Acts 2:46 | Saint Luke | 174541
Would it then be your opinion that the Gentiles should be placed under the requirements of the tedium of the OT Law also? That idea is contrary to the Book of Galatians that warns against placing believers under the Law. Galatians 3:24-25 "Wherefore the law WAS our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith is come, we are NO LONGER under a schoolmaster" How much clearer do we need it? Believers are no longer under the Law, Scripture is quite clear on this. If the Jews want to continue the "work of GOD" with the sacrifices and all of there other rituals after the temple is rebuilt, maybe they should read John 6:29. But I think their destiny is clearly spelled out. They are just using these religious rituals to fulfill the prophesy of the Book of Revalation. I don't give such there is much thought about the credibilty it the writings that were cited. After all these are the descendants of the bunch that rejected and demanded the crucificion of there own King, and will embrace the Anti-Christ. I guess GOD really does know their heart. I'm just thankful I am a Gentile. Luke |

2 | Tithing | Deuteronomy | Saint Luke | 174426
Lest you forget, there is also prelaw "historical precedent" for animal sacrifice (Gen 4:4), marrying your half sister (Gen 20:12) marrying your cousin (Gen 24), and adultery (Gen 16). For the most part, none of which is still condoned today. Yet the OT demand to tithe is not only condoned, but encouraged today. But not in the original form of food and supplies for the Levitical priests, but rather in the form of money. Your reference in Malachi is not to the NT Christian, but to the "sons of Jacob" if you took the time to read the passage in context. If you are a Gentile, such as myself, this doesn't even apply to us. After all, all Scripture is to us, but not all Scripture is for us. The TRUTH will MAKE You FREE Luke |

3 | Saved but not living for God? | Matt 6:33 | Saint Luke | 168136
Kalos, Okay, you can count, I'm proud of you. I really wanted to hear what I Love Jesus, Jesus Freak had to say, but since you replied, your definition please!!!! I feel it is a much used term by many Christians, just like the "Baptism of the Holy Ghost", "slain in the spirit", and "filling of the Holy Ghost" meaning the same thing to many Christians. It is obvious Scripture says differently. Just because they can use the word in a sentence, doesn't signify they know what it means.............. I just wanted to see if we were on the same page, or if he were speaking Christianese. Luke |

4 | Where in Acts does it say that? | Acts 1:1 | Saint Luke | 167925
Bible Thumper, If we "assume" that all spoke with tongues, why can we not "assume" that all DID NOT speak in tongues because of 1 Corinthians 14:23. Your argument seems flawed. Provide more scripture to support your theory, not just your own thoughts on the matter. Luke By the way, do you hold to the idea of apostolic succession also? |

6 | Saved but not living for God? | Matt 6:33 | Saint Luke | 167763
I Love Jesus, Jesus Freak, Maybe we should clarify some terms here, instead of speaking in "Chritianese" What is your definition of "saved"? Luke |

7 | child made during adultry | John 3:16 | Saint Luke | 166873
Brad K Thanks for the reply. Now I am a little more confused. I agree with what you said, it is what I have read also and what Pastor tells me. But md1234 wrote in the note following yours, "He will forgive you for the things you do." I thought He had already forgiven all of my sins, past present and future, because all of my sins were in the future when Christ died on the cross. Is this just a matter of definitions of words or does md1234 know something I don't. I am also a bit confused over the "forgiveness" and "repentance" definitions. Would simple definition of "forgiveness" be what GOD has performed in our spirit, to "reconcile" us to HIM? I reference all the verses you have quoted. Is "repentance" what we are doing to bring the physical body into submission, and I want to do so because I have Christ in me now? Galatians 2:20 Does "reconcile" mean what the book Pastor gave me means? It says that GOD planned all of this so we could be brought back into good standing with HIM because we were in bad standing because of sin. And we couldn't do it because none of us could live up to the Old Testament, so Christ (GOD in the flesh) came to do it for us. This kind of matches what 2 Corinthians 5:19 says and the reason for Christ dying on the cross. Do I have the general idea behind this? I also read that repentance is "a change of mind that bears the fruit of a changed life." Do you see anything in the bible that would contradict this? Thanks, Sam |

9 | Unforgiveable Sin? | Eph 1:7 | Saint Luke | 166573
CDBJ Couldn't agree with you more! The thing that I see in many Christian's lives, especially those who are not growing in faith, is the fact that they are still in bondage over the sin issue, and whether or not they are saved from one moment to the next! I see many Christians who go forward in church services to receive the forgiveness of sins, but never proceed past that point for years or even decades. I also see it creeping into this forum with the endless discussions on "what sins are unforgiven" theme. Why are earth is the Christian population not stepping forward to help those who are stuck with this thinking grow in Grace? I suspect is is because the majority of the Christians are trapped in this same thinking. The TRUTH will MAKE you FREE!! Luke |

10 | Christians with demon oppression | Rom 8:16 | Saint Luke | 166522
Kanchi, Just a thought for you. Which Jesus is she believing in? The MAN Jesus that lived and taught about 2000 years ago that died a horrible death, or JESUS, GOD IN THE FLESH, that died for the sins of the whole world and upon whose name, if we believe, we will have ETERNAL LIFE. The TRUTH will MAKE you FREE. LUKE |

11 | Unforgiveable Sin? | Eph 1:7 | Saint Luke | 166518
Ebrain, It may just be a matter of phrasing, you said "will as a result not be forgiven". The salvation, that is ETERNAL LIFE, has been offered to mankind from GOD. The act of forgiveness of mankind's sin was accomplished by Christ sacrificial death. Once for all is pretty clear. Hebrew 10:10-12 It is purely a person's unbelief, the unforgivable sin, that keeps a person from receiving ETERNAL LIFE and the forgiveness that Heavenly Father has already provided. 12 | how many unforgiven sins are there? | Eph 1:7 | Saint Luke | 166495
Hank, Great Question! If what we read in the Scriptures is true, and it is, then Romans 5:8 is true. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." and 1 John 2:2 is also true. "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." Christ died for the sins of the whole world, planned by our Heavenly Father. Ephesians 1:4 says, "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" How many does he WANT to come to him? 2 Peter 3:9 reveals, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." So we must conclude: GOD was not willing for any to perish, so he had planned to the perfect sacrifice (CHRIST) to sent at GOD'S appointed time to die as a sacrifice for the sins of the entire world. GOD bridged the gap between HIMSELF and mankind with HIS perfect sacrifice. So if you are assuming that forgiveness of sins is salvation, then you haven't even brought the rest of the Gospel into the picture. This was all so we could have ETERNAL LIFE. Please refer to John 3:16, John 4:14, John 5:24, John 6:40, John 6:47.... they mention nothing about forgiveness of sin, they mention only about believing and the result being ETERNAL LIFE. The sin issue on GOD'S part has been dealt with. If we refuse to believe, then we will not receive this awesome gift Heavenly Father has provided for us, in offering his SON as a sacrifice for our sins. and will not receive the ETERNAL LIFE he was provided for us if we simply believe. Just another thought. So why do we continue to ask GOD to forgive our sins? He already has!!!! see no commandment the New Testament requiring us to do so. I only find we are to Confess out faults one to another. James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. The TRUTH will MAKE you FREE Luke |

13 | how many unforgiven sins are there? | Eph 1:7 | Saint Luke | 166321
Wonbyone, The answer is NONE 1 John 2:2 says, "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world" GOD'S perfect sacrifice took away the sins of the World. John 1:29, which says, "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." The TRUTH will MAKE you FREE Luke |

14 | Ephs 4:30; 1:13-14 | 2 Tim 1:12 | Saint Luke | 165890
Ocelot, Interesting, so I guess You are the one who can pluck yourself out of GOD's Hand!!! What amazing powers you possess!!! I guess GOD didn't see you among all of all the other's coming when he wrote John 10:27-29 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. How does it feel to have all that power? I mean, you have the ability to pluck yourself out of GOD'S Hand!!! How does it feel to know you are going to Heaven, no Hell, no Heaven, now Hell, I mean Heaven, opps Hell, no Heaven, opps again Hell.......... Boy, I sure wouldn't want to live in your Sabbath rest! I choose to believe what GOD'S word says, in context. That Christ died for the Sins of the World.... I John 2:2..... and he was reconciling the whole world to himself....2 Corinthians 5:19...... That salvation is not just forgiveness of Sins, because that has been given to the whole world, again, I John 2:2.... but believing in Christ that gives us ETERNAL LIFE....John 3:16.... Amazingly, John 3:16 mentions nothing about forgiveness of sins. As far as your references, all Scripture may be for us but not all Scripture is to us. Your use of Revelation chapters 21 and 22 are referring to the the Great White throne judgement, and not intended for the believer. And don't try to pull out Gal 5:19-22 here, it is talking about the works of the flesh. If the Jews of the Old Testament could follow it, what on earth makes you think you can? I guess your version of Christianity has Christ's Sacrificial Death on the cross only good enough to get you to the point of salvation, then it is all based on your works! Kind of a cruel trick GOD played on you isn't it? You are under bondage. Kind of the opposite of what GOD says in HIS word isn't it, I mean HE says in John 8:32 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." The opposite is true then, Error keeps you in bondage. 1 Corinthians 15:50 says,"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption." Sorry to tell you this, but the human body in its current state isn't going to be in the Kingdom of GOD. So the part of us that is incorruptible, the part GOD made incorruptible, will see it. Romans 8:1 says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Gal 5:18 says, "But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. And Romans 8:2 says, "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." The TRUTH shall MAKE you FREE. Luke |

15 | Gross or Net Income/ | 2 Cor 9:6 | Saint Luke | 165410
emt2001 There is no NEW TESTAMENT requirement for you to tithe. So don't let anyone put that bondage back on you! However, if you choose to use the the tithe as what you feel you should give, only you can decide if it should be on the Gross or Net. In my giving, I use 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 as my guide. It says, "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. The TRUTH will MAKE you FREE Luke |

17 | "the law is spiritual, but I am carnal" | Rom 7:14 | Saint Luke | 165336
Ahh, My view exactly. Walk in a manner worthy of your calling, if I am identified as a Child of GOD, I should live like I am a Child of GOD. Because of who we are in Christ, we should not want to sin. Therefore, Grace is not a license to sin then, is it? The TRUTH will MAKE you FREE!!! Luke |

18 | "the law is spiritual, but I am carnal" | Rom 7:14 | Saint Luke | 165259
You might also want to try to explain Hebrews 8. specifically verse 13, "In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away." And also Hebrews 8:7-8 "For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah" Not to mention a new priesthood after the order od Melchisedek, not after the line of the Levites. We don't observe the Sabbath, as required by the Law, though some do have a Bible Study on Saturday, but this hardly qualifies for "keeping the Sabbath". After all, they more then like drove there which technically is "kinding a fire", which was a forbidden act on the Sabbath. And Romans 2:14-15 says, "For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;" I am a GENTILE as more then likely you are also. So why are you trying, and failing, to follow something that was never intended for us? Why don't you just admit, if you are saved, that you will never be seen by GOD as anymore righteous then HE has made you through CHRIST! You have never gotten past the idea that was addressed in Galatians about 2000 years ago. The Law being imposed on GENTILE believers. Or maybe you have, because you snapped back on the shackles of the LAW by your own efforts. What a cut above what the Galatian church wes experiencing about 2000 years ago! Wouldn't the Apostle Paul be proud!!! The TRUTH shall MAKE you FREE Luke |

19 | "the law is spiritual, but I am carnal" | Rom 7:14 | Saint Luke | 165203
If the Law is not done away with, then why are the only requirements for a Gentile believer quoted in Acts 21:25 "As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication." Notice the "they observe no such thing", then qualifies it by a few things to abstain from. And as for the Apocropha, when did it get into the Cannon of Scripture? Also read Galatians, why were they warned about following the ordinances of the Law when they were under the grace of CHRIST anf a new covenant? If we are to follow the law, then why did the Apostle Paul warn them not to do it? The TRUTH will MAKE you FREE!!! Luke |

20 | "the law is spiritual, but I am carnal" | Rom 7:14 | Saint Luke | 165148
In Romans 7:14-25, Paul is speaking of one under the law. How can you reconcile this as being a believer, when Col 2:13-14 says all of our sins have been forgiven and the law has been blotted out and nailed to the cross? Colossians 2:13-14 says "And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;" Paul then goes on further to explain in verse 16 to say "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:" Obviously, the "handwriting of ordinances" is evidenced by Paul describing certain provisions of the Law that a believer has been delivered from. Col 2:15-16 says "And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:" Romans 8:2 says "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." Should it then not be concluded that in Romans 7:14-25, Paul is speaking if himself prior to salvation.? The TRUTH will MAKE you FREE Luke |
