1 fig tree Not Specified KamanUCI 30506
  In Mark 11:12-14 its says:

12

On the next day, when they had left Bethany, He became hungry.

13

Seeing at a distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if perhaps He would find anything on it; and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.

14

He said to it, ""May no one ever eat fruit from you again!'' And His disciples were listening.

My understanding is that the fig tree is a representation of a believer and the point of these verses is to show the importance of bearing fruit.

My question is, why would Jesus seek figs at a fig tree if it was not in season? Also, why did He curse it?

Does this mean that we are to bear fruit in season and out of season?

3 Demons or Sin? Not Specified KamanUCI 29921
  Hi all,

Earlier, I asked the question, "Do demons exist today and in what form". The reply I got was the following:

------------------------

I believe demons still exist because there is still a tremendous amount of evil in the world, I believe the demons will still be around until judgement. I believe demons exist in the form of spirits.

This is what I believe, hope this helps.

Bless you,
Love Fountain

PS, why do you ask?

----------------------------

But then brings up another question, I thought the evil in the world comes from sin not from demons, so what's correct?

P.S. Sorry Love Fountain, I would reply to you directly but I'm new on the forum and I didn't know how to contact you.

8 Why woe the rich and well-fed? Not Specified KamanUCI 29727
My Question is with reguards of Luke 6:24-26.

24
"But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort.
25
Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.
26
Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets."

I looked up in the dictionary that woe means sorrow. Why should sorrow be given to the rich, the well-fed and ones of good reputation?

Was Jesus talking about the rich, well-fed and ones of good reputation in the general case or to those that were listening to Him at the time, either way I don't understand why "woe" be to them.
