Revelation 20:8 and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. Can someone please tell me who the nations in the 4 corners of the earth, Gog and Magog are or will be? |

3 | Gen. 1 | Not Specified | Joy | 8802
Can someone please enlighten me about the following: In Gen.1:3-5, it is said that God created day and night. (GEN 1:5 And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.) And concerning creation on the 4th day it is said again that, (GEN 1:5 And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. GEN 1:16 And God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night;... GEN 1:17 And God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, GEN 1:18 and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. GEN 1:19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.) Do these 2 parts mean the same thing, that day and night were created on the 1st and 4th days? |

5 | What was Eve's sin? | Gen 3:6 | Joy | 5442
Dear Hank, I fully agree with what you have written. This forum has been an eye opener in many ways. I have been more of an observer rather than a participant and I've noticed that many good questions have been posted and many biblical and sound answers have been given. However, sometimes this is not the case and as an encouragement to all I would like to quote a few verses here: "If anyone teaches false doctrine and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth ..." (1 Tim. 6:3-5) "Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,..." (2 Tim. 2:23-25) "But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere." (James 3:17) Written with good intentions from 'Joy'. |

7 | How Judas Iscariot died? | Not Specified | Joy | 1973
Personally, I do not care very much about how Judas Iscariot died etc., however someone asked me a question about this and I could not answer. In Matthew 27:5, the Bible says that, "And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and departed and he went away and hanged himself." (So here, it looks like he committed suicide). Also in Matt.27:6,7 "The chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, 'It is not lawful to put them into the temple treasury, since it is the price of blood.' And they conferred together and with the money bought the Potter's Field ..." (So, it was the chief priests who decided to buy the field.) Then in Acts 1:18 it is written, "Now this man acquired a field with the price of his wickedness, and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his intestines gushed out." (Here it sounds like Judas bought the field - in fact in the NIV version it says exactly that and his death seems to be a result of his fall rather than he hanging himself.) Would somebody care to elaborate on this?

9 | What does 1 Cor. 5:5 mean? | 1 Corinthians | Joy | 1764
Thank you KBurgee for your answer. It sure did help me to underdtand a little more about this verse. You wrote, "...to teach him a lesson about his sin ... His body may be broken, but his spirit will be saved, thus preventing him from that all-encompassing burning sensation that we know as Hell. I understood this to mean that by doing this, it would have helped the man to repent. When I get to some other part in my Bible and need clarification, I will post questions again. I will be looking forward to your answers then.
