AMPLIFIED 2015 | Genesis 1:3 And God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. |
Bible Question (short): Gen. 1 |
Question (full): Can someone please enlighten me about the following: In Gen.1:3-5, it is said that God created day and night. (GEN 1:5 And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.) And concerning creation on the 4th day it is said again that, (GEN 1:5 And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. GEN 1:16 And God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night;... GEN 1:17 And God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, GEN 1:18 and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. GEN 1:19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.) Do these 2 parts mean the same thing, that day and night were created on the 1st and 4th days? |
