2 | Eph 2:14 | Eph 2:14 | Elice Fox | 88234
Life Application Bible Eph 2:14 Christ has broken down the walls people build between themselves. since these wall have been removed, we can come to real unity with people who are not like us. this is true reconciliation, because of Christ's death we are all one family. Eph 2:14. our anger against each other has disappeared.we can all approach God through the Holy Spirit. we are no longer strangers to God and we are all apart of a beautiful temple with Christ as or cornerstone. there are many barriers that can divide us from other Christians, age, appearance, intelligence, political persuasion, economic status, race, theological perspective.one of the best ways to stifle Christ's love is to cater only to those for whom we have natural affinity. Fortunately, Christ has knocked down the barriers and unified all believers in one family. His cross should be the focus of our unity. The Holy Spirit helps us look beyond the barriers to the unity we are called to enjoy.

9 | What is the significance of this verse? | Mark 14:52 | Elice Fox | 81457
Quest Study Bible.Nobody knows for sure.Early in church history it was suggested that this was Mark, the Gospel writer himself. Perhaps he in his night clothes had followed the disciples from his home where Jesus and the Twelve had earlier celebrated the Last Supper(Acts12:12). He may be including a bit of his own biography, however shameful, right in the middle of this dramatic story. Whether or not this was Mark, the story documents how Jesus' followers completely abandoned him.

12 | Where does it say God appointed kings | 1 Sam 10:1 | Elice Fox | 64463
Read Deuteronomy 17:14-20.God was not encouraging Israel to appoint a king to rule their nation.he was against the idea, because he was their king, and the people were to obey and follow him. but God knew that the people would one day demand a king for selfish reasons they would want to be like other nations around them. (1Samuel 8) if they insisted on having a king he wanted to make sure they chose the right person for the job. that is why he included these instructions both for the people's benefit as they chose their king for the king himself as he sought to lead the nation according to God's laws.1 Chronicles 28:5 (Living Bible) David is instructing Solomon. v4. Nevertheless, the Lord God of Israel has chosen me from among all my father's family to begin a dynasty that will rule Israel forever; he has chosen the tribe of Judah, and from among the families of Judah, my father's family; and from among his sons.the Lord took pleasure in me and has made me king over all Israel.v5. and from among my sons the Lord has givem me many children he has chosen Solomon to succeed me on the throne of his Kingdom of Israel. the Kingdom of Israel belonged to God. not to David or anyone else. Israel King , then, was God's deputy comissioned to carry out God's will for the nation.thus God could choose the person he wanted as king without following customary lines of succession. David was not Saul's heir, and Solomon was not David's eldest son, but this did not matter because God appointed them. pray this will help you.

thanks Aspilos. in John 14:2-3 Jesus said There are many homes up there where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming.when everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so that you can always be with me where I am.if this were not so I would tell you plainly. Here Jesus is saying,"I am going to prepare", and when everything is ready, then I will come and get you. we can look forward to eternal life because Jesus has promised it to all who believe in him. although the details of eternity are unknown, we need not fear, because Jesus is preparing for us and will spend eternity with us. also Aspilos if you have a chance to read Revelation chapter 4 John was in the spirit when he saw Heaven it truly is awesome. you have a beautiful name what does it mean? God bless you Elice.
16 | Heaven is our home. | Mark | Elice Fox | 61882
we cannot look at heaven in our human perspective. (Mark 12:24) JESUS replied to the religious leaders (Sadducces), "Your trouble is that you don't know the Scriptures, and don't know the power of God. Jesus said that not only were the Sadducces ignorant of Scripture, but they didn't understand the power of God. Heaven is far beyond our ability to understand or imagine (Isaiah 64:4); 1 Corinthians 2:9) we must be careful not to create questions about heaven that cannot be answered from our human perspective.we need not be afraid of heaven because of the unknowns.insteaad of wondering what God's coming Kingdom will be like, we should concentrate on our relationship with Jesus right now, because when we are in the new Kingdom we will be with him. How we live now will make a difference.
17 | Is this heaven or the family? | John 14:2 | Elice Fox | 61881
1 Peter 2:11 Peter states: Dear brothers, you are only vistors here. since your real home is in heaven I beg you to keep away from the evil pleasures of this world; they are not for you, for they fight against your very souls.Life Application Bible. Heaven is an important concept in the Bible, but it is not the pink-cloud-and harp existence popular in cartoons. In Scripture heaven is where God dwells. it operates according to God's principles and values, and it is eternal and unshakable. Heaven came to earth in the Jewish sanctuary ( the Temple and Tabernacle) where God's presence dwelt. it came in a fuller way in the person of Jesus Christ,"GOD WITH US". it permeated the entire world as the Holy Spirit came to dwell in the heart of every believer. Someday, after God judges and destroys all sin, the Kingdom of Heaven will rule every corner of this earth. we will be with Christ in a way not possible in this life, John saw this day in a vision and he cried out,"Look, the home of God is now among men, and he will live with them" (Revelation 21:3). our real home, our true loyalty, is not to the things of this earth that will be destroyed. it is to God's truth, his way of life, his perfect creation. because of this we often feel like strangers in a world that would prefer to ignore God in reality, however, we are citizens of the growing Kingdom of Heaven that, at Christ's Second Coming, will last forever. pray this will help you.
18 | ... | 1 Cor 15:45 | Elice Fox | 61874
Genesis 4:14 Life Application Bible: we have heard about four people so far- Adam, Eve, Cain and Able. so two questions arise: 1) why was Cain worried about being killed by others.2) where did he get his wife? Adam and Eve had numerous children they had been told to "fill the earth" ( 1:28). Cain's guilt and fear over killing his brother were heavy, and he probably feared repercussions from his family if he was capable of killing ,so were they. the wife Cain chose may have been one of his sisters or a niece. the human race was still genetically pure and there was little fear of side effects from marrying relatives.
