1 | Whose baptism? | John 13:6 | ATJ | 39418
Dear Love Fountain, The subject is could Saul in ISam. have been born of the water and the Spirit. The reason that I bring up the offerings and sacrifices is because I am trying to show you a pattern. Before Jesus came, no one could be born again. Why? Because Jesus had not paid the debt of sin yet. If Saul was offerings burnt offerings for what ever reason, this automatically tells you there is sin in him. Being born of the Holy Spirit means that Christ has killed the old man and created a man inside of us. This new man is created in the express image and likeness of God. God also burns the evil sin that was once in us. Where was the sin in us? The sin was in our heart and mind. This is why God put his law in our mind and heart. This is the reason why a man mind has to be renewed. Then the Holy Spirit dwells in that man and gives him strength. The more he learns spiritually the more he grows. The more he grows the strength he has. This is the only way a man can live right. If Saul was born of water and Spirit, How come he could live holy. In the Old Testament the fullness of the God head was not yet revealed. Can you show me anywhere in the Old Testament where the author writes that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God? The people knew that a Savior was coming but they didn't know that God was coming himself. This is why the Israelites reject Jesus today because he confesses to be the Christ. Now in John 17:5-8, This is Jesus speaking himself. Andrew jr. |

2 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | ATJ | 38878
Dear Tim, Inorder for us to understand anything, the Holy Spirit must first reveal this unto us. After He reveals it to us, He gives us understanding. You see once the Spirit reveals something to you then their is no need for speculation. There is no need to go beyond the pages of the Bible, but there is a need to understand what the pages of the Bible are saying. For ex., why did Jesus say to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost? While the Apostles baptized in the name of Jesus. There is no scripture written that say, Jesus said to baptize this way because... Therefore the Spirit must reveal to us what this means. There are many scriptures that give perfect understanding to why the Apostles baptized in the name of Jesus. But even these scriptures must be revealed, otherwise we still will not be able to get any understanding. Why? Because we are following the letter and not the Spirit. Matt 28:19 is clear in what it says, but the understanding of it is not clear once you read Act 2:38. As a result, it is not something else that needs to be revealed, but the relationship between Matt 28:19 and Acts 2:38 needs to be revealed. I am a firm believer in the fact that all scripture work together and cannot contradict each another. Now if the Spirit does not reveal this unto us, then there is a conflict about Jesus saying baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, and the Apostles baptizing in the name of Jesus. It is same Apostles who say to follow in their footsteps. This is the reason that scriptures must be revealed. Remember this Tim, there is deepness in all scripture. I have studied some of the same scriptures over and over again, but every time, God reveals the scriptures in more and more depth to me. I tried to be as brief as possible, so hopefully this answers your question. If not, or you have something else for me then just write back. It has been a pleasure talking with ya. Andrew Jr |

3 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | ATJ | 38858
Dear Tim Moran, You are right that Matt.28:19 is very clear. This is the reason why the word must be revealed unto us by the Holy Spirit. 2Cor 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life. A man must follow God according to Spirit because this is where wisdom and understanding is at. I studied about baptism for a long time, but it took the Holy Spirit to reveal this unto me. After the Spirit revealed this unto only then did this make sense to me. And now as the Spirit continually opens my understanding, all the scriptures come together and support one another according to the truth which is Jesus Christ. Andrew Jr. |

4 | Apostles Spirit-led? | Acts 2:38 | ATJ | 38854
Dear Charis, I am not denying that Jesus told them to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost after his resurrection. But like I wrote unto Joe, Jesus had already taught his disciples to baptize while he was here on earth. Because Jesus had not yet resurrected, the disciple baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Now, because Jesus said this again unto them after his resurrection, does this mean that it is impossible that Jesus opened up their understanding about baptism. Therefore the Holy Spirit had to lead them to do this. Did not the Holy Spirit bring the teachings of Jesus back to the disciples rememberance? The Bible states that the Holy Spirit will lead us unto ALL truth. Did not Jesus say that he is the TRUTH, the life and the way. Therefore it seems to me that the Holy Spirit leads us to the truth about Jesus. Look at the name that the disciples baptized in before Jesus resurrection and look at what name the disciples baptized in after his resurrection. Acts 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Therefore I stand firm in the Apostles doctrine. If a man is baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost; it is the same as being baptized in the name of Jesus. The only difference is the Apostles understanding of Jesus before and after his resurrection. Did not Jesus himself say that he and the Father are one. Col 2:9 confirms that the Fater, Son and Holy Ghost dwell in Jesus. Can anyone deny this? Col 2:9 FOR IN HIM DWELLETH ALL THE FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD BODILY. Andrew Jr |

5 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | ATJ | 38845
I am not denying that Jesus told them to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost after his resurrection. What I am saying is that Jesus had already taught them to baptize before his resurrection, which you seem to deny. This is why it is so important that the Holy Spirit reveals the word unto us, because to many people read without understanding. The Apostles only demostrated the things that Jesus had already taught them. It was the Holy Spirit that gave them their wisdom and understanding. The disciples which later became Apostles baptized before Jesus had died and resurrected. In what name do you think that they baptized? Now if Jesus had already taught them to baptize and commanded them to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, would the Apostles do anything contrary to the commandments that Jesus had given them? Therefore it must have been the same Jesus that taught them to baptize in his name after his resurrectio. Why else would they baptize in the name of Jesus? It is the resurrection of Jesus that gives us Salvation. Was the resurrection of Jesus preached while Jesus was on the earth? No. After Jesus ascended to heaven and on the day of Pentacost, the Apostle then preached Jesus Christ. Now noticed what name the Apostles baptized in, after they preached Christ. Was this contrary to what Jesus told them? No, because Peter states, that they TESTIFY OF THE THINGS WHICH THEY HAD BOTH HEARD AND SEEN. Therefore it must have been Jesus who taught them to baptize in his name. Luke 24:45 Then he opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures Luke 24:46 And said unto them, thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day. Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached IN HIS NAME among all nations, beginning at Jeruselem. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptize everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Andrew Jr. |

6 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | ATJ | 38712
Hi Joe The reason that I said Jesus told them to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost before his resurrection is because Jesus had already taught his disciples to baptize while he was here on earth. John 4:1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John. John 4:2 Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples. Yes, you are right that Jesus tells them to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost in Matt 28:19-20, but Jesus was only reinterating what he had already taught them to do in St John 3:22, St John 4:1-2. After Jesus rose from the dead, he showed the disciple many more signs which were not written in the four gospels according to John 20:30-31. Lastly, you stated, How has anyone else ever been saved for His redemptive, once-for-all atonement for sin on the Cross? Now I know that no one can be saved except through Jesus Christ and you know that, but tell me,why are there not many chruches in America preaching Jesus. Instead they are preaching money and prosperity. ATJ |

7 | Whose baptism? | John 13:6 | ATJ | 38638
Dear Love Fountain Saul sent burnt offering unto God. Do Saints of today send burnt offering? Saints send a sacrifice to God but it is a living sacrifice. God wants us to sacrifice ourselves by living rightous. Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, the you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Now if we can present our bodies a living sacrifice, why did Saul offer burnt offering. The reason still because Jesus had not died and resurrected. The reason I say this is because of St. John 7:39. St John 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) Now the word of God that you speak of is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is that spoken word that existed in the beggining. It was not revealed to man in the Old Testament. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you ALL things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Love, Andrew Jr. |

8 | Jesus' name baptism? | Acts 2:38 | ATJ | 38626
Jesus Christ is the fullness of the God head bodily. Saying the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost is same as saying in the name of Jesus. The Father, Son and Holy Ghost dwell in Jesus bodily. The reason that Jesus says to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost is because, He had not been resurrected yet. After his resurrection, all power on earth and in heaven was given unto him and now man can only be saved through him. Now after his resurrection, then the Apostles recieved the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit brought things back to their rememberance that Jesus had taught them. The Holy Spirit also gave them a clear understanding about Jesus Christ. Baptism represents the death, burial and resurrection. Did not Jesus go through this? When a person is baptized, they are baptized into Christ. After the resurrection of Jesus, the Apostles then understood what baptism stood for. Andrew Jr. |

9 | Women included? | Num 14:29 | ATJ | 38329
Yes this includes women. There were only two that got to see the promise land. The reason he uses the word men in this verse is because all responcibility fell back on the men.
10 | who is pure from sin | 1 John 1:9 | ATJ | 37928
When the book of Proverbs was written, Jesus Christ had not come yet therefore man had no way out of sin. In Rom 7:24, Paul speaks of the man he was before he became converted. This I know because Christ has already delivered believers from the body of this death. The body of this death is the power that death has over us through sin. If you noticed in Rom 7:24, Paul ask a question and then in the very next verse he answers the question. Paul clearly states the effect of living by the flesh. The body only wants to fullfill the desires of sin therefore it becomes enmity with the spirit. (Read Rom 8:1) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH, BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT. As long a we are in Christ and walk after the spirit then we are not condemned. Now notice in Rom 8:2 Paul states that the law of the SPIRIT of Life in Christ Jesus makes us free from the law of SIN and DEATH. Paul was a wretched man only when he followed the law which was handed down by Moses. This law Paul found that he could not keep as long as he was controled by his flesh. Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. Paul found out that we could no longer live in the flesh and please God at same time. Therefore he conclueded that we must live the spirit and only then could we resist sin. This can only be done by dying to sin. Rom 6:11 Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. The only way that we can be alive unto God is to be dead to sin. Now if we are dead to sin, can we continue to committ sin? Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we CONTINUE in sin, that grace may abound? Rom 6:2 GOD FORBID. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? What Paul is saying is that after we have confess to be saved by Christ, what can we say about sin. Can we continue to sin and still grow in Christ or (Grace)? God said No. How is it possible to be dead to sin and still live in sin. When a person Physically dies, then he no longer lives in this world. Likewise when a person dies to sin, he no longer continues to sin. Paul clearly tells us to put away the sin that so easily besets us, not make excuses about it but put it away. According to the dictionary, Continue, applies to a process going on without ending. If a person has not yet stop sinning, then they continue to sin. Paul says that we cannot continue to sin and grow in Christ at the same time because God forbids it. So therefore a person has to either forsake sin and grow in Christ or forsake Christ and grow in sin. You quoted I John 1:8-10, but you have to go to IJohn 1:7 to find out why he makes this statement. John states in the 7th verse, that the blood of Jesus cleansest us from all sin. In Proverbs Jesus had not died so therefore during that period they were not clean from their sin. In IJohn 1:8, John ask them if they could say that they had no sin for the blood of Christ to clean them from. Now I ask you, can any man in this world say that he doesn't have to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus? If any man says this then he is deceiving himself and the truth is not in him. Rather we all have to be cleaned by the blood of Jesus. Read IJohn 1:9. Once we confess our sins, then Christ is faithful and just enough to forgive us and in return Christ cleans us from all unrightousness. If Christ cleans us from ALL unrightousness, then how can we continue to live unrightous? Now if we continue to live unrightous then Christ has not cleaned us from all unrightousness but rather some. IJohn 2:1,2 can be explained in Heb 10:26. IJohn 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. You might not believe this bbg but everyone that has been born of God starts as a new born baby. Just as an earthly baby grows and matures, likewise are Saints suppose to grow and mature. As we mature every Saint should work toward perfection. This is the mark for the prize that Paul speaks of obtaining in Christ Jesus in Phil. 3:14. This is why Paul states that this is a High Calling. Phil. 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be OTHERWISE MINDED, GOD shall reveal even this unto you. |

11 | Am I lost for eternity because of sin | 1 John 1:9 | ATJ | 37747
In the Old Testament men were not born again. Therefore they could not overcome sin. This is reason why God had to come to earth himself. I John 3:5 And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Jesus was brought into this world so that he could take away our sins, so that we can live in this world free from sin. The question is, how can a man live in this world without sin? Easily by living in the spirit and not the flesh. If a man lives in spirit he can not fullfill the desires of his flesh. I am not downing (godchild), but I don't want to get caught up in this situation again. Just because she is sorrowful does not mean that Satan is going to retire, but rather he is going to come back again. Andrew Jr. |

12 | Whose baptism? | John 13:6 | ATJ | 37593
If the people in the Old Testament had the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, then why did Jesus tell his disciple to wait on the Holy Ghost. Seems like to me they would not have had to wait on the Holy Ghost. It is the Holy Spirit that keeps us save. We are saved from the condemnation of sin. As long as we don't fall into sin, then we remain saved. The Holy Spirit does not allow us to fall back into sin but He teaches us live Godly. Now, because of Abrahams faith toward God, It was counted to him as rightousness. Counted as rightous is not the same as being rightous. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is what allow a person to live Holy. Jesus said that when the Comforter comes, then He shall lead us into all truth. Many people beleived in God before Jesus was crucified but they still had to wait after the resurection. Can a person live in eror and still have the indwelling of Comforter? Is it not the Holy Spirit that seal us? |

13 | Whose baptism? | John 13:6 | ATJ | 37560
This is a very good question. Many people don't understand the differnce between the Old and the New Testament. Salvation was given in the New Teatament only. I will go into detail about the Old and New Testament later. Now lets examine I Sam. together. Read Heb. 9:28 ( So Christ was ONCE offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation). Read Heb 10:1-7 ( For the law having a shadow of good things to come and not the very image of the things, can Never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers therunto PERFECT. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshipers once purged should have had NO MORE CONSCIENCE OF SINS. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is NOT POSSIBLE THAT THE BLOOD OF BULLS AND OF GOATS SHOULD TAKE AWAY SINS. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith Sacrifice and Offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for Sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come in the volume of the book it is written of me to do thy will, O God). Now I ask you can a person be in sin and have the Holy Ghost at the same time? Paul says in Rom 6:1,2, "What shall we say then, can we CONTINUE IN SIN that grace may abound. GOD FORBID. How shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein". Once a person has recieve the Holy Spirit then they no longer continually live in sin. Neither do they offer burnt sacrifices for their sin because Christ was the real sacrice. Now in I Sam. 13:9 it states,"and Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me,and peace offerings, And he offered the burnt offering". Why would Saul need to sacrifice offering if he had the Holy Ghost? Could he have had the Holy Ghost and still lived in sin? The Apostle Paul says that God forbids it. Other words God said NO. Burnt offering and dead sacrifices are for sin. Saul was not baptized of the Spirit because he was not dead to sin. Read Rom 6:3-7. Would a person dead to sin offer dead sacrices? Let go to see what Jesus says about this. Pay clos attention to the correlation of these two. St John 3:5 (Jesus answered, Truely, truely, I say to you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God). John 3:6 ( That which is born of flesh is flesh; and that which is born of Spirit is spirit). John 3:7 (Marvel not that I said to you, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN). Now the question is what is the Kingdom of God. According to Luke 17:20,21, the Kingdom of God is within you. This is the Holy Spirit. Being born of the spirit means simple to be born again. Being born again means that a change has happened. After repenting and prayer of God to save us, the Holy Spirit take the evil inside of a person and burns them up, this how the Holy Ghost cleans us with fire. Christ then crucifies our old spirit and creates a new spirit. This new spirit is of love and will not sin against God Read I John 3:9. After this the Holy Spirit dwell within us with our new spirit and gives us strenght as we learn. With man this is impossible but with God all thing are possible. This process happens in the twinkling of eye because God does not do things in parts or incomplete. The Holy Spirit does not dwell in unclean temples or people. Now Saul had not reveive the gift of the Holy Spirit but rather the Spirit overcame him temperarily because he had not been born again. Every Old Testament scipture was inspired by God. Just as the Holy Spirit overcame Saul, He overcame the writters in the Old Testament. Look at the patriach King David, how could he have the Holy Ghost but yet have many wives and even killed a man and took his wife. Would not the Holy Ghost had told him other wise. Surely he was sorrowful afterwards but he still kept many wives. Can a man receive the Holy Ghost by any other baptism than Jesus. Unto what baptism was Saul in I Sam. baptized. If Jesus had not yet come could he been baptized unto Christ. John the baptist said unto the Pharisees the he baptized with water only, but Jesus would baptize with fire. This is the fire from the Holy Ghost Read St John 1:33. When Christ comes back for the Church and cries out with the trump of the Angel, the Holy Spirit is the one who is going to hear the voice of the Lord and He is the one who going wake us up. 14 | Am I lost for eternity because of sin | 1 John 1:9 | ATJ | 37546
Reading the scriptures carefully is very important. The more I grow in Christ, the more serious this gospel is to me. First of all, when people came to Jesus to be forgiven for their sins, Jesus did forgive them but you need to read on a little further and see where Jesus also tells them to go and sin no more. What does this mean to you? Do you think that Jesus was joking or just talking in the wind? I think that Jesus always meant what he said. Secondly I have experiance with this kind of situation. God has given me the wisdom to understand people and their behavior although this is a ever learning process. It was playing with fire that got her in this situation. Would it make sense to put out the fire and never correct the child. Now would you just forgive and never give her advise on how to stay out of this situation again. II Tim. 3: 16 says, " All sccripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, AND FOR INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS". When it comes to peoples soul, I take it very seriously and I don't think it should be taken lightly. If I don't tell people the truth, then I am held accountable for it. People say that the truth doesnt hurt, but the truth does hurt because it corrects people in their wrong doing. When St. John ate the word in Rev., he said it was bitter in his mouth but when it hit his belly, it was as sweet as honey. The truth is not very tasteful in wrong-doing but when it cleans you up it is the best thing that could have ever happen to you. Now you say that we all slip up, I would like to know what scripture did you find that in, because the book of James says that the Holy Spirit is able to keep us from falling. I don't mean to sound harsh but I believe in not only forgiveness but also teaching people how to live. The Apostle Paul wrote to the people at Corinth and he said himself that he didn't want to sound harsh but it was for their own good. Many of these people were caught doing the same acts as she meantions and much wrose. Read II Cor. 7:8-10 and see it for yourself. This gospel must be revealed to Saints personally and then others can see what I see. Always with love Andrew Jr. |

15 | Whose baptism? | John 13:6 | ATJ | 37443
This refer to the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Remember when Jesus was baptized the Spirit decended on him as a dove. This baptism could not take place until Jesus Christ resurrected. Read St John 3:5, " Jesus answered, truely, truely I say unto you, Except a man be born of WATER and OF the SPIRIT, he CANNOT enter into the kingdom of God.. Andrew Jr. |

16 | Andrew please explain? | 1 John 1:9 | ATJ | 37441
Listen Raven I am encourage by your boldness. I myself follow the truth and I don't care who goes against me. Now Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior told us to be baptized. The apostle also baptized in the name of Jesus. I believe the scriptures and them only. I believe that all scripture was inspired by God and let every man be a lie and God the truth. Of course we know that everyone baptized by water is not saved but everyone that is saved has to be baptized by water according to the commandment that Jesus gave. There are two things that Jesus told us to do that deals with the flesh but pertains to the spirit. One is to be baptise by water which a symbol of the real baptism by fire. Read Rom. 6:1-16. Baptism shows the world that we have been change and gives them a physical understanding of baptism. The second thing Christ told us is to keep communion. As often as we decide to do communion, it should be done in rememberance of Christ Jesus. This is symbol of the commitment that we have given to Christ. It can be compared to an engagement ring. The Apostles are not the only ones who baptized but it should carried on until Jesus comes back. For those who don't believe in baptism, what can you say about Acts 2:38,Acts 8:12,8:16,8:36, Acts 16:33,22:16, and what about I Cor. 1:13-17 where Crispus and Gaius baptized people in Corinth and Paul preached the gospel. 17 | Am I lost for eternity because of sin | 1 John 1:9 | ATJ | 37419
First of all, have you been born again? If you have been born again then this sin was not premeditated. The first thing you need to do is tell your husband and ask God for forgiveness. If you have been born again then God will forgive you and you may continue to live holy. Satan has many tricks because he is a master deceiver. It take Christ to see Satan at work. Therefore Christ must become your eyes. This can only happen if you live in the spirit and not the flesh. Now no the other hand, if you have never stop sinning in your life and you specifically set out to committ this sin despite already knowing that it was wrong then you have not been born again. Despite popular beleif that a person keep sinning and God will keep forgiving him is not true. God forgives a person when their intentions are to stop sinning. Remember God looks at the heart of person. Going to church does not make a person born again. Only you and God know if you have been born again or but search yourself and be truthful with yourself. If you have been born again then simply ask God and your husband for forgivenss. God will forgive you and you are eternally saved. If you have not been born again then ask Christ to save you from you sins, be baptize and continue to live after the scriptures. A word of advise; if you don't want to get wet then please don't walk on the bank of the river because it is very slippery and you can easily fall in. Also talk to your Pastor about this situation and don't stop until it is resolved. Please fill free to write me back if you have any questions. With much love Andrew jr. |

18 | What is his loins ? is for men only | Bible general Archive 1 | ATJ | 37414
Hey, sorry I took so long to comment but I had to go out town for a few days. You are right the father does determine the child blood type. This is what I meant to say without going to deep into bloodlines. The second part of your statement about the male and female spirit read Gen the first and second chapter and follow the example that God establish. God said let their be light and their was light. God said let us make man and just like he created the light their was man but yet God had not formed man a body yet. Did man not exist until he had a body? God said, both male and female created He them. Did he create female before or after he made woman. Now the male and female were bond into one spirit and not two but God separted them when he made the woman. The reason that I don't go into deep detail about this is because it has nothing to do wiht salvation plus I can only explain something but it takes the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you.
19 | Does God have two LIONS? for Heaven Eart | Bible general Archive 1 | ATJ | 37409
The creatures described here are known as Cherubims. These are angels also talked about in Revelations. God does not have two loins. The reason it talks about loins is so that human being can understand what the writer is trying to say. Alot of thing are written in a natural way so that natural people can have understanding. God is a spirit and he doesn't need loins to create. He speaks and things just appear. This is called Power. For example, the bible speaks of God hand alot. This is not a literal hand but it is put in this content so that people can understand that it was God's work. Usually a person works with their hands so the bible relates hand so that we can have understanding.
20 | Can everyone rec'd the Holy Spirit | Heb 1:3 | ATJ | 37389
Matt. 11:28-30. Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your soul. Christ wants everyone who labor in sin to come unto him. Sin is what weighs a person down and ultimately destroys him. Once a person comes to Christ he gives them rest from sin and the penalty of sin. Once a person yokes up with Christ or is joined to Christ, the Holy Spirit reveals who Christ really is. Read Matt 11:26-27. Now my question is, How can a person learn of Christ without the Holy Spirit? And how can person have the Holy Spirit if they labor in sin? Can a man serve two master? Read I John 3:5,3:8. Jesus was brought to the earth to take away sin. Sin is what caused man to be in this state and to get us out of this state sin must be paid for and taken away. Read Act 2: 37-38. Repent means to be Godly sorrowful of your sins. Read Rom 6:1-3. A person can not grow in Christ and be in sin at the same time because God forbid this to happen. Hopefully these are enough scriptures but feel free to write me back. Andrew Jr. |
