641 | Is there info @ dinos? Kidz ask. | Job 40:15 | skccab | 201403
Shalom pattycake I must have misunderstood you. I thought you wanted a website that could help you and your young'uns in your search - and help in a way the little ones could understand. My bad. This guy pitted the Bible against worldly teachings of dinosaurs and evolution - the Bible won hands down according to dr. dino (and me :-)and most of those here on SBF ). Please forgive my oversight also - Welcome to SBF, I hope you stay and learn with us. Cheri |

642 | Comforting verse for non-believers | Psalm | skccab | 189126
Hi Azure, I, too, am sorry to hear about your friend. And with InGodITrust, I really don't know how to help you. I was thinking maybe something in Psalms or in Job might be suitable. Just as an example: Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Job 14:15 Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: Something generic like that might could open up a chance to witness? Sorry couldn't help more Cheri |

Shalom Ladywanda, Ps 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. Ps 23:2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. Ps 23:3 He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Ps 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Ps 23:5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Ps 23:6 Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. 651 | acknowleged my sin to You | Psalm | skccab | 211971
Good afternoon Yellowrosegale, I, too, have horrible eyesight, but caps are extremely difficult for readers to look at. If you click on "view" on your browser menu bar, there is a choice (called "text size") to increase the font size that you alone can view; and then you can take the caps lock off on your keyboard. (You can also try by holding down the CTRL key and the "plus-equal" key.) Try that and see if it helps - it helps me :o) Cheri |

655 | Dissapointment in this sites response... | Ps 16:11 | skccab | 199538
Shalom Faith..., I have read and re-read numerous times the Books of Moses and I cannot recall oral sex being mentioned in and of itself. I can offer this thought - oral sex is actually much more intimate than intercourse so it's got to be on the same lines with sexual intercourse and the Bible leaves no room for questions about that being sin outside of marriage. Now, the fact that you are still in high school and your "boy"friend is just that - a friend and not your husband you should not be trying to split hairs on God's commandments, trying to figure out what you can "get away with" with God. Enjoy your years of dating - kiss lightly, hold hands, hug - and leave thoughts of sex to one word "NO" and you'll be blessed. God will bless you with a wonderful husband someday. Until then, enjoy your years that belong to your youth - you'll grow up soon enough. I know this wasn't the answer you were seeking - but I'm talking to you as a mom to her beloved daughter. Receive it as such. Cheri |

656 | Will every man hear the gospel? | Ps 19:1 | skccab | 209738
Kcab, Salvation and baptism are 2 entirely different things. Baptism is an act of obedience, but not of salvation - you can be saved and never get baptised (you'll be disobedient but saved). The "pew christian" is one who believes that there is a God and who is not Jewish, Muslim, Hindi or any of those other things so by default they consider themselves "christian" but they know next to nothing about Jesus or God or the Holy Spirit. They go to church every week because that's the thing to do, to be seen by the community, etc. They have never accepted the Lord as their personal Lord and Savior. It's sad, but America has many of these people. Hope this helped explain what was confusing you.... Cheri |

657 | Will every man hear the gospel? | Ps 19:1 | skccab | 209741
Kcab, I coulodn't tell you the explanation on that. But I do believe that adding baptism to the equation takes away the "free" from salvation by the Grace of God and adds a "works" to it. And asking a question when you already have an answer and an argument for a given position is NOT a good thing. :-) Cheri |

658 | Will every man hear the gospel? | Ps 19:1 | skccab | 209756
Shalom Kcab, Forgiveness isn't an issue, I just stated a point as it appeared to me. It seemed to me you already had taken a position on the subject prior to asking the question. If I was wrong, then YOU forgive ME!! And we'll just start over again. Yes? Yet, my answer does remain the same, just as stjohn told you in a later post - salvation is free, by the Grace of God, if baptism is part of the equation, then the gift of salvation is no longer a gift, nor is it free, we have worked for and earned it. Baptism is an act of obedience to a command of our King, nothing more, nothing less. Cheri |

659 | Will every man hear the gospel? | Ps 19:1 | skccab | 209761
Kcab, Well, then, thank you kindly. I'm actually glad to be the one who was wrong in this case :-) for it means you were not being deceitful - and that's a very good thing. It is sometimes difficult to properly weigh what someone means when it's just words that we have to deal with. Being in person in the world to come is going to be so much nicer, isn't it? I'm sure we will all find each other and sit in a big circle as we get to know one another! (About a million years after we get there!!) Cheri |
