My keeping of the Sabbath is because my Creator said to. No, it doesn't aquire grace. Grace is undeserved favor. I did nothing to deserve favor, I deserved death. However, the price was paid for what I deserved by another who had the power to do so. My faith in Yah'shua is what saves me, and because I am saved I follow the commands of my Savior. Keeping the Sabbath is one of his commands. Sabbath is a blessing of rest and devotion. Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. Gen 2:3 And Elohim blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which Elohim in creating had made. It was from the beginning that he set this day apart for rest, and this day was kept even in Yah'shua's life, and even now. Even those close to Yah'shua kept the Sabbath: Luk 23:56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. Luk 24:1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. Notice the first day of the week followed Sabbath, which is on the 7th day just as started immediately following creation. Those who keep the Sabbath do a weekly acknowledgement that they are created beings, and keep this day special out of respect for their Creator |

Greetings face, Have you entered into this Sabbath yet and if so do you fault others who don’t exhibit a certain day as you do; for example Abraham? Hebrews 4:1-10 Therefore, let us fear lest, while a promise remains of entering His rest, any one of you should seem to have come short of it. [2] For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard. [3] For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said, "As I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter My rest," although His works were finished from the foundation of the world. [4] For He has thus said somewhere concerning the seventh day, "And God RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL His works"; [5] and again in this passage, "They shall not enter My rest." [6] Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience, [7] He again fixes a certain day, "Today," saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before, "Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts." [8] For if Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that. [9] There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. [10] For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Has the real Sabbath of God been revealed to you yet as it was to Abraham? Galatians 3:14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. I am not under obligation to worship God on one day a week but out of gratitude and respect and love for what God has done for me through the person of his Son, Jesus the Christ, I observe seven days of Sabbath every week not just one day. It sounds like your trying to impose certain actions that have already been discussed in the book of Acts. Peter has already set us straight on situations of the same category that you feel should be imposed. Acts 15:8-11 "And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us; [9] and He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith. [10] "Now therefore why do you put God to the test by placing upon the neck of the disciples a yoke which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? [11] "But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they also are." This summation of the discussion doesn’t include any special day to worship the lord. Acts 15:28-29 "For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials: [29] that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication; if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell." This is a 24 hour Sabbath 7 days a week. John 4:23-24 "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. [24] "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." Farewell, CDBJ P.S. Adam and Eve were created, we are all procreated! |

The real Sabbath of rest that we all hope to enter into spoken of in Hebrews, experienced by Abraham, Moses, David and Joshua and the Leader of us all, Yah'shua is not a 'day of rest'. If you will notice the rest that Yah'shua entered into is not in this life. He worked while in this life. Now he is at the right hand of the Father until all things are put under his feet. And you as others seem to pick out things you want to see, and ignore others you do not Act 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: Act 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. Act 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. Why as part of this council do they mention the teaching in the synagogue on the Sabbath? Certainly we worship in spirit and in truth. The truth of the matter is that Sabbath was set apart by this same Spirit for our human benefit. You quoted Heb 4:6 but failed to notice that the reason many did not enter into his rest was because of disobedience. Disobedience to what? Certainly the commands. Yet you seem to propose that we are now allowed to break these commands. Do you also propose that gentiles are really given no greater burden than what Acts 15 states? Are gentiles free to steal, kill, bring false witness and many other evils? That certainly wasn't covered in the Acts 15 council. Yes, I know I'm being a bit radical, but I'm trying to get you to think about what you are saying. Acts 15 wasn't all encompassing. It was a beginning point. Yes, CDBJ, I have entered into that rest. But that rest is not fully realized. There remains yet another rest. It has only begun just as Israel didn't fully realize her rest in the promised land. Even if all had gone perfectly for Israel in the promised land, there still would have remained another rest not of this physical life. |

Hello Face, Could you expatiate on this part of your statement, “that we all hope to enter” That doesn’t sound like a very sure thing to me; how can you improve on it to the point where it is absolutely assured? Hypothetically speaking, if you would downright refuse do observe the Sabbath on Saturday, could you still spend an eternity with God in heaven? CDBJ |

I am not the judge of that. Yah'shua speaks of who is our accuser to the Father. Joh 5:45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. Joh 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. Joh 5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? Because I believe Moses, I believe Yah'shua. Otherwise I would not believe he is the Messiah. According to churchianity, there's no way Jesus could be the Messiah because according to churchianity Jesus did away with the everlasting word of the Father. So, I'm not going to accuse you either, it's not my place. But there is one who will accuse you if you sin willfully Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Heb 10:28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Heb 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? Remember the law of Moses was not Moses' law, if indeed it would have been a law of man, then it would have been useless. This was given THROUGH Moses, THROUGH the WORD (the pre-existant son) by Yahweh HIMSELF. This was and is the word of God. This will accuse you, not me. Moses will be a witness, as indeed will heaven and earth according to Moses: Deu 4:25 When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger: Deu 4:26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. Beware the second death spoken of by John in Revelations |
