In place of the Old Testament law, we are under the law of Christ which is to, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” -Matthew 22:37-40. If we do these two things, we will be fulfilling all that Christ wants for us to do. We are not under any of the requirements of the Old Testament law. We are to love God and love our neighbors. If we do those two things faithfully, everything else will fall into place. | ||||||

Hi Jagfire, Hay, that really sounds sanctimonious but what do you mean by everything else falling into place? You suggest the following; If "we do" those two things "faithfully", everything else will fall into place. By doing what you mentioned, how do we know if we did it well enough? Will God be satisfied to the extent that He will give us eternal life even if I don’t quite measure up to his standard of doing what you suggest perfect? I think I need some biblical proof that your right; eternity is an awful long time to spend if you are wrong and I’m having a hard time with the heat I’m in now and it's only in the 90's. That doesn’t sound like very good news to me! CDBJ |
