Colossians 2:16-17 (16) Then do not let anyone judge you in eating, or in drinking, or in part of a feast, or of a new moon, or of sabbaths, (17) which are a shadow of coming things, but the body is of Christ I challenge you to try observing the Scriptural calendar to time your year instead of the secular calendar. I challenge you to keep the Sabbath as we are instructed in Scripture. I challenge you to keep the feasts as laid out in Scripture. The above verse will have a whole new meaning to you. That verse was written to gentiles who left their heathen ways, and were following what is now known as Jewish ways. Believe you me, I've had people judge me for keeping this, and some of the inferences are just rude. Yet as a Scripture believer, I have to believe that the Father's way is better than my way, and certainly better than the world's way. Read what the apostles did on the Sabbath. They went to synagogue. Since heaven and earth are still here, these shadows remain. When the new heaven and new earth come, the shadow will be gone, then I can hug and kiss the real deal. No, Yah'shua's work is not finished. He is with the Father waiting until all things are put under his feet. Once he claims his bride, then all will be finished and the shadows gone. Yes, it is a promising road. Paul said to follow him as he followed the Master. Both were Torah observant. Are you following? |

"Do you not listen to the law?" Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not listen to the law? Galatians 4:21 (ESV) Romans 6:14 (ESV) For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. Galatians 3:10-13 (ESV) For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them." [11] Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for "The righteous shall live by faith." [12] But the law is not of faith, rather "The one who does them shall live by them." [13] Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree"— Galatians 3:24-25 (ESV) So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. [25] But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, Galatians 5:1 (ESV) For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:13 (ESV) For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Romans 7:1-14 (ESV) [1] Or do you not know, brothers-for I am speaking to those who know the law-that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives? [2] Thus a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage. [3] Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress. [4] Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God. [5] For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death. [6] But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve not under the old written code but in the new life of the Spirit. [7] What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, "You shall not covet." [8] But sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. Apart from the law, sin lies dead. [9] I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. [10] The very commandment that promised life proved to be death to me. [11] For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me. [12] So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good. [13] Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, producing death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure. [14] For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin. 2 Cor. 3:7-18 (ESV) [7] Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses' face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end, [8] will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory? [9] For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory. [10] Indeed, in this case, what once had glory has come to have no glory at all, because of the glory that surpasses it. [11] For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, much more will what is permanent have glory. [12] Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, [13] not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end. [14] But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. [15] Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. [16] But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. [17] Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. [18] And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. |

see, sir, you do not understand Scripture. I am not under the law, I am not saved by the law. I am saved by grace and through faith. There is a difference between obedience and legalism. Obedience is called legalism by those who wish to be disobedient. Yet Yah'shua repeatedly said to keep his commands as he kept his Father's commands. Was he wrong for saying this? Do a word search in Scripture for keeping the commands, it is eyeopening for one who truly wishes to learn Remember, and think carefully, because John 1 tells us that no man has ever seen or heard the Father, but it was the son who revealed. Therefore it was Yah'shua who spoke with Moses and gave the commands. It was also Yah'shua who said not one jot or tittle would pass from the law, yeah, even heaven and earth would pass before that happened. The only change was in the priesthood. And the priesthood change was a regular occurance. In fact, the levitical priesthood was a temporary standin for the priesthood that was like the priesthood of Melchizedek Poor Paul struggled with this concept, explaining it to the people. They were used to the saved by works concept which was false. It always was faith that saved. There are dead works that people do to try to be saved, and then there is obedience to the guidance of the Father. Discern the difference. |

It is interesting to note that in my previous post all I did was quote Scripture -- without adding one word of interpretation or comment -- and then you reply by telling me I do not understand Scripture. Quoting Scripture (what I did) is one thing. Interpreting or commenting on Scripture (what I did not do) is another. Discern the difference. Peace, Kalos |
