astafford The Bible does not detail the deaths of the Apostles. However Church history both written and oral does give accounts. I think the best place to read these accounts is "Fox's Book of Martyr’s. As to John church tradition says John died of natural causes, however there is many that claim John was placed in boiling oil and survived being horribly disfigured. Read about him and all the other great martyr’s that so trusted in God they gave their lives in some of the most horrible ways in the book I suggested.. EdB |

astafford John was exiled there by Rome. Patmos was a penal colony where Rome used prisoners as slaves to mine copper. He evidently was released from there and lived much of his later years in Ephesus. EdB |
