Before Christ, one had to offer a burnt sacrifice to atone for one's sins. In Hebrews, the author also says it was faith. My question is this, (theoritically) say someone who truly had faith in God, and always strived to do His will, and always obeyed the law, was in Rome for some reason. In Jerusalem, Jesus was crucified and killed. If that man in Rome died two days afterward, and never even knew Christ died, would he still get to go to Heaven, even though the law was completed and sacrifices were then void?

Salvation is wholly of God, the gift of God by grace through faith and has always been so. It has never depended on time, place, works, circumstances, or anything else. See Ephesians 2:8,9; Hebrews 11. --Hank
