I would like to hear commentary and have discussion concerning the manifestation today of woman's consequence as defined in Genesis 3:16, in part "And though your desire will be to control your husband, he will be your master" (NLT). I would also like to have discussion concerning a portion of Genesis 3:17, in part "Because you listened to your wife, and..." (NLT). Thanks, God's Blessings, Love, Doug

Hmm. Well, we know from common experience that a lot of women are abused by their husbands. And we know in 1 Cor 14:35, "If they (the women) desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church." So, judge for yourself. |

Well, those are interesting artifacts to contribute to my original question. Might I also add that we know from common experience that a lot of men are abused by their wives. Please consider commenting specifically toward the manifestation of these very early creation consequences and how they are evidenced in our society through how men and women relate, in particular, in Christian marriage. Thanks.

Ephesian 5:22-30, Paul had given us the idea of how men and women relate in Christian marriage. C.S. Lewis, in his book "The Four Loves" Chapter 4 - eros, did comment that only when the husband sacrifice himself to and love his wife as what Christ did to the church, the husband should claim himself the head of the wife. (Sorry, I have only got a Chinese version this book. Therefore, I cannot quote exactly the wordings of Mr. Lewis'. I trust someone on the forum is able to provide the oringal quote.) God bless Shalom Azure |

I appreciate your bringing to our attention Ephesians 5:22-30, and the instruction that God provides us through Paul concerning responsibilities of husbands and wives in Christian marriage. Again, I am certain in my curiosity and study of the text I stated, from the book of Genesis. If you have any comment or obervations with this regard, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
