We are to be salt and light to the world, believers as well as the lost. Matt. 5:16 "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven Matt 10:27 "What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops. Matt 5:13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. Col 4:6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. There is no difference between an unbeliever and someone who is lukewarm. We are either for or against Jesus Christ. There is no "in-between". Rev 3:16 'So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. |

ren333 I am not so sure about your reference to Rev. 3:16. I think that a person can be born again but after that first love they go into neutral and just kind of sit and mold. There is still some life, but you realy have to search to find it. I think that kind of attitude makes the Lord nauseous, and although they are still His child, He is frustrated and upset by them. This is just my opinion, but it does spur me on when I think that my complacency just might cause my God to have that feeling toward me. Passion in Christ- Debbie |
