BradK, Hi! You are so correct. I do not understand how people can read the Bible redifine all meaning, select a single passage on which to base their argument, and then quote someone who has the same distorted views as though that makes it so (right). And if you quote a passage like Hebrews 1:8 they either pretend it is not in the Bible or attempt to explain with interpretational language babble. There is only one Alpha and Omega, one King of Israel (corporal and Spiritual), one Lord, One God! I have a vivid recolection of a couple of believers that when we departed I commented "May the Holy Spirit guide your journey (or path)." They asked me to repeat myself and the look they gave me was that of someone speaking to them in a very foreign tongue. Paul was right!: speaking in tongue is a sign for the believers not the unbelievers! God Bless! |

Hi all, Jesus Is also God! Unless Isaiah chapter 9:6 is giving attributes of divinity to a different child. The Holy Spirit is also God. I know the 3 in 1 concept of the Godhead is a difficult one to grasp. Many things in the bible are. This is why our God is Omniscience, omnipotent and Omnipresent. Other deities cannot claim this ability. This calls for simplicity in faith, otherwise we shall forever be splitting spiritual hairs, e.g. Did Jonah really spend 3 days in the belly of Whale and live to tell the story? Or, how can a flame burn a bush and not consume it as in the case of Moses... The bible records that the Lord has hidden some things from the wise and revealed it to babes. Let us have the simplicity of faith like a child's. My people of old used to worship the sun and believed all life originated from it, until some missionary, may God bless him and his-progeny forever, came over and showed us a better God. Remember the story of Apollos from Alexandria who went around teaching powerfully in the book of Acts? One day a couple invited him to their home and showed him a better way of conducting his ministry. This forum can act as a way of learning better spiritual things, at least to me it does. This is only possible if we do not allow biases and mindsets to cloud our vision. Lets us glorify God, not man's wise-doms. Sincerely, Andy. |
