Thank you very much. My Bible College degree turns 25 yrs old this month, and my vision and health hamper me from doing more research, but I am grateful. I'll check out this site. The goal is to find a relationship between Amon and Josiah, good or bad, if indicated. Also as I recall, and forgive my ignorance, The Northern Kingdom(Israel) only had two kings who were godly and the Southern(Judah) had almost, if not ALL, godly kings? | ||||||

Hi Patty... To my knowledge; the northern kingdom of Israel didn't have any good or godly king's, and Judah, only had a very few. I'm not sure how many were good (godly), but I seem to remember it was only very few, perhaps three or four in all. So in fact, they were almost ALL, north and south, bad kings! God bless John |

Thanks, I was really mistaken. I'm thankful I only needed to teach first graders for this one. I need to dive into OT history again soon. Thankfully there was a young king Josiah who did the right thing, differently than his father, and grandfathers and followed after David's heart and God's instruction. Bless you. Angela |

Dear Angela: Yes indeed, we could sure use a revival like the one experienced in the days of Josiah! 2 Kings, all of chapter 23, note: verse 25. --"Before him there was no king like him who turned to the LORD with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; nor did any like him arise after him." But where are my manners? Welcome to the forum! :-) I'm guilty of jealousy; I wish I could share with you, the experience of seeing those little seven year old faces, (my favorite age by the way) wakening to the wonders and marvels of God's creation. Seeing new things and thirstily drinking in all the new experiences and knowledge (that we now take for granted) for the first time. What a joy it is, to see their happy, enthusiastic, "toothless" heh heh, little smiles. Thank you for your loving service. Bless you too John |

WHile I see the sparkles in their eyes I also see the pains of life:death, divorce, drugs, and daily hiding because some are here from other countries. I leave that to the authorites. In the meantime, the mission field has been brought to me. Their soul was worth Christ's own blood just as my own. There is more that we can do for children and discipleship (and discipline) than ever before and yet no one has time nor energy to get 'er done. With Paul, I'd like to say,"Kids, young people, parents, follow me as I follow Christ." I trust someone does the same in your fellowship as well. They need a firm foundation before they face a crazy world. Angela |
