1 | Was lazarus in heaven? | Bible general Archive 1 | Mary of magda | 82586
No lazarus was in many ways dead in the natural. howeverHis spirit had not gone on to become one with the father. when Mary and martha sent for jesus because Lazarus was so sick Jesus did ATary some says I believe before going on to see about him I beleive his words said this sickness is not unto death. but to the Glory of God.also Jesus had not yet died and went unto the father. there is a difference between the dead in Christ and the dead of the non believer.there is also a difference in those that died a natural death before and after the death buriral and resurection resurection of Christ. it was to the gliry of God because he actually did die and Jesus did resurect him

By your claiming that Lazarus was resurrected by Jesus, “he actually did die and Jesus did resurect him”, doesn’t that contradict Rev. 1:5? Rev. 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, This verse says that Jesus was the first begotten from the dead. If Lazarus was resurrected, then he couldn’t die again and he would live forever with that body that was resurrected and flesh and blood would inherit eternal life, which is a false statement. 1 Cor. 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. I believe that Lazarus wasn’t resurrected, but instead he was resuscitated. I also believe that he later, unbeknown to us, died again and is now waiting along with the rest of the departed saints for the final calling out where the dead in Christ will rise first. 1 Thes. 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: My two cents worth, CDBJ |

CDBJ, I think thre is a difference Jesus being the firstborn of the dead unto eternal life in heaven and those who were raised from the dead to complete an earthly life and die again. One who is ressucitated has not died, but is only unconcious. When someone was not actually dead the gospel's make it clear as in Matt 9:24 and Luke 8:52. In other cases it is clearly stated that Jesus raised the dead. Luke 7:12-17,22 .. a man who was dead was being carried out...." and was raised. See even 2 Kings 13:21 for an interesting story.
