1 | Mathew 16:18--what is the "rock"? | Bible general Archive 1 | angel1 | 41578
Hi Raven--raves for you--I asked the question -like a lawyer-knowing the answer--or at least the answer I thought was right. The "rock" is the mutual recognition between Jesus and His followers. I wonder why I don't hear preachers preach on this.Maybe it is so obvious to protestants that they don't mention it- but I was raised Catholic and they need this message. Thanks for your reply-in Him angel-1
2 | Mathew 16:18--what is the "rock"? | Bible general Archive 1 | RAVEN | 41741
Hello Angel1, I was going to say in my reply to you something about Catholics and the way they believe this scripture. But I was not that clear on the details. Is it something like they teach that the church was founded on Peters teaching and doctrine and not Jesus? Please write back if you know and explain to me. Thanks Your friend in Christ, Raven |
