1 | "beheading" in modern times? | Rev 20:4 | Pastor Glenn | 124778
Hank, I also like Jesus' words in Mat 24 as He said "...See that you are not troubled...": 6And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. He then tells us more: 7For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[2] and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9"Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. 10And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. I think that emphasis needs to go on verse 13: 13But he who endures to the end shall be saved. As a nation, I think we really need to repent beginning in our churches where adultery is tolerated, homosexuallity is accepted, and devorce is rampant, to name a few. Pastor Glenn |

Pastor Glenn: Good Scripture references! To your list of things about which (some) churches need to repent, I would add the following: tolerance of abortion; the absence of full and unqualified acceptance of God's word as totally binding, authoritative and inerrent; and the de facto denial of the absolute sovereignty of Almighty God. --Hank
