1 | John 10:10 Who is responsible for death? | Rev 1:18 | B Michalcik | 236784
WE see that God gave Satan permission to bring harm to Job and his family members. When tragedy happens.....many are quick to blame God. Others blame the devil. Death is an enemy. A friend was questioning today about the death of a two year old girl (a tragic accident). How do you respond to who is responsible for someone's death?

B Michalcik I think my attempt to rectify my first answer was actually worst than my first answer. And I do apologize. What I'm trying to say just isn't coming out right. Let me try again. First God is sovereign and I believe we do not die one second sooner than God allows. Jesus has the Keys of Hades and Death and one day our enemy death will be cast into the Lake of Fire. When sin enter the world so did death, death is a result of sin and unless the Lord returns before we will all die. Why do some die early and some late? We don't always know. This isn't explained to us. But there is one thing we do know our adversary Satan loves for us to get angry at God and question Him. He loves it when a someone curses God for the death of a loved one. While the lost is bitter we must say "I don't understand it or like it but You are God and I will trust in you. The hope I have now is that I will see that child again in heaven. We will spend eternity together and rejoice." Again I hope this answer is more pleasing to you and again I apologize for my first two miserable attempts at this. |

The whole point of using the reference of John 10:10 and Job was that: "the thief (Satan) comes to kill, steal and destroy". Man can open the door for the enemy (death) to come in through sin as David did. Satan could not kill Job untimely because he was righteous but he wanted to and Satan did killed his children. Why did Jesus raise the dead and heal the sick if all that was in God's soverign will? So, if no one dies one second sooner than God allows, is God responsible for all the aborted babies? We won't fight the enemy of death until we come to grips with where it is coming from and quit accepting it as "God's will". We are suppose to be doing greater works than Jesus did (John 14:12). Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1John 3:8) and that is what we are suppose to be doing! Instead we credit the works of Satan to God and do nothing. We just say that God is soverign so we don't want to go against His will. WAKE UP CHURCH!

Let me ask what does Jesus saying "I possess the keys of death and Hades" mean to you.

He was saying that He had conquored death, hell and the grave. He was acknowledging that He was the Firstfruit. No longer were people bound in the holding place of "Abraham's bossom" but now were united with His Heavenly Father. He unlocked the gate and set them free! Now His true follower would be able to exercise delegated authority from Him because all power in Heaven and earth was His. It was finished!
