I don't think your predestined,I think you have a destiny and God knows this, and he waits and hopes you 'll call upon him for help, and seek him,he's there with you always,he just needs a invitation to come into your life through his son,Jesus.
2 | Destiny and predestination | 1 Pet 2:9 | Makarios | 26402
Greetings sound! I would agree with you! 1 John 2:2 states that Jesus died for the sins of the world. With this in mind, we know that some will be saved and some will not. Christ's death is sufficient for all, but efficient only for those who believe in Christ. Even with this in mind, Jesus offers salvation to all.. "And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely." (Revelation 22:17) The concept of predestination can be understood as God's sovereignty acting out His will. I agree with you, it is difficult to understand! If you do a "Search" in the 'Questions/Notes on Verse' box above for 1 Peter 1:1, you will see an excellent post by Tim Moran that goes into more depth about predestination and foreknowledge. Blessings to you, Nolan |
