The author of Hebrews was refering to the pagans who investigated Christianity and then went back to the paganism from which they came. Some Jewish Christians did the same thing and returned to Judism. By turning away from God at the most knowledgeable time in their lives, they cut themselves off from God's forgiveness. However, even when you turn away from God He will never turn away from you. Nothing can stop His constant presence with us. | ||||||
